Michael Lyn (Classical and Pop Guitar) is originally from Detroit Michigan and is a long time SCV resident. He began performing in high school with the Hart High Jazz Band and in various solo performances, performing at places such as the Dorothy Chandler to the Sunset Strip. Mr. Lyn has also done movie premieres and professional recording sessions. His formal education started in classical guitar and music theory from both Cal Arts and CSUN. Agua Dulce Winery is a 90 acre, family owned and operated, fully operational winery and vineyard, featuring daily wine tasting and tours, a gourmet gift shop, and wine sales. We are located just 45 minutes north of downtown Los Angeles and have earned the honor of being Los Angeles County's leading fine wine grower and producer.

Vento Sur is a Calarts-all-alumni group composed of Joao Junqueira, Julissa Bozman, Alex Bozman, and Jay Gravatt. Vento Sur performs music in both Spanish and Portuguese languages. Its bilingual name -- Vento ("wind" in Portuguese); Sur ("South" in Spanish) - was inspired by a metaphoric representation of a fresh breeze of music and culture moving from south to north. Vento Sur represents a flowing motion that originates in South America, reenergizes itself in Central America and the Spanish speaking Caribbean, and continues traveling northward. It reaches us in North America as the south wind that brings cultural and musical enrichment to Santa Clarita. Directed by Joao Junqueira, Vento Sur presents music as a great medium for transcendence and as a uniting element for various Latin American cultures.

 

Vento Sur was founded in 2011 by Joao Junqueira to present Musical Journey Through Latin America on September 8, 2012 at COC Performing Arts Center. Musical Journey Through Latin America is an educational concert that celebrates music, culture, stories, and landscapes of several Latin American countries, among them Ecuador, Nicaragua, Colombia, Argentina, and Brazil. In this concert, Vento Sur will perform folk and popular music styles like Tango, Cumbia, and Samba.
