The Century Brass Band can mold itself into a brass quintet or a group of 10 brass players and 3 percussionists. Century Brass continues Minnesota's great tradition of brass bands, a tradition established by groups like the Great Western Band of St. Paul, which was active as early as 1858. The band plays a wide variety of dance music from the 19th century.
