2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

 

Join Sandy Williams, author of Hinsdale, for a book signing at the Library. Copies of the book will be available for purchase ($21.99) with proceeds benefiting the Hinsdale Historical Society. Sandy is a Hinsdale resident and longtime volunteer with the Historical Society. Drop in to meet the author and pick up a copy of Hinsdale!

Dog and Baby Connection

Those expecting or with little ones and pets at home shouldn't miss this class. Hinsdale Humane Society will share tips on helping your dog cope with the new noises and activities in the home as well as the developmental changes that come with a growing toddler in the house. Science Behind Drugs and Prevention

Robert Crown Center for Health EducationWednesday, May 1

Kids face tough decisions, especially regarding the issue of drug use. This newly designed program through the Robert Crown Center helps kids make healthy choices and lead a drug-free life. The program uses research-proven effective, interactive teaching methods. Kids and parents welcome to attend. Register online, at the Library or over the phone.

iCraft: Teen Craft Night

Mandala Coloring

Did you know that coloring relieves stress and promotes happiness? A mandala is an abstract concentric form with intricate designs that emanate from a central point (a.k.a. a fancy flower-like design). We'll provide the pages and the color, and you provide the creativity! No registration required.

Use the Library to meet with a study group, find a quiet place to focus or to ask a librarian your last minute questions. Study rooms and group study areas are available during regular Library hours. Water, snacks, and supplies will be available during specified times.

TumbleBooks are here! Check out this free online collection of animated, talking picture books. Enjoy access to hundreds of fiction and nonfiction books with enriched content such as educational puzzles or titles in French and Spanish.

The Library is hosting a book drive to support Big Rig Books, a non-profit organization that provides books for children in underserved schools and communities. Donate a new or good condition copy of your favorite children's book. Drop off in Youth Services during regular Library hours.

Visit the Library to pick up a one-week pass for the museum of your choice. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis. All you need is a valid Hinsdale Library card.
