On Thursday, May 5, 2016, OLCHS lost one of their own. English teacher Tim Sidlow passed away. He had been on a leave of absence due to kidney and liver disease. During his tenure, Mr. Sidlow served as an English teacher, reading specialist, and basketball coach. He was a dedicated Spartan and truly enjoyed teaching.
Mr. Sidlow was an avid sports fan and was recently honored by the varsity baseball team. The players, staff members, and spectators honored Tim by wearing special jerseys with the name SIDLOW on the back. Proceeds from the event were donated to Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago where Mr. Sidlow received a kidney transplant in 1984.
The entire Spartan family joins Mrs. Jennifer Sidlow, OLCHS Media Specialist, and their daughter Anna Lynn in celebrating the life of this dedicated colleague, coach, mentor, and friend.
