TOPIC:  Caring for LGBT Individuals &
              Their Families

SPEAKER:  Linda Tally, RN CHPN,
      Community Hospice Liaison, Allina Health Hospice & Palliative Care
 
OBJECTIVES:
  • Addressing Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Issues In Providing End of Life Care     

  • Identify barriers in providing end of life care for GLBT patient

  • Identify documents that are important to complete in order to protect GLBT patient/spouse/partner

It is finally beginning to feel like Spring!  The time we all anxiously await during the long cold months of January and February.  I hope everyone has had a chance to enjoy this amazing weather and I hoping we don't need to worry about snow and cold until next winter!

With Spring comes the 2016 MASWA Spring Luncheon.  The Members at Large have been working very hard at planning an amazing annual meeting.  Please mark your calendars for Thursday, May 5th.  You can receive details about
sponsorship and vending opportunities at www.seniorworkers.org.

This month we have a very exciting speaker.  Linda Tally will be presenting on LGBT Senior Issues.  You will not want to miss this; we look forward to seeing you on March 24th!
