No presentation this month, just networking! Everyone will be placed into pairs. Each individual in the pairing will have 4 minutes to market themselves. After 8 minutes you will be paired with a different person.

| PRESIDENT'S MONTHLY NOTE | |
 Happy New Year! We hope that all of you had a wonderful holiday season. Though, I must say it feels like we are stuck back in the winter of 2014 with the cold and school closings. Hopefully the warm-up they are predicting for the end of the week occurs and we all get some much needed reprieve. This month's meeting is going to be focused solely on networking. The meeting is being hosted and run by MESA who created 8-minute networking. You will spend your time getting to know many different members of our organization and about their businesses. Make sure to bring plenty of business cards! You will not want to miss this meeting. A quick reminder that it is time to renew your membership. Memberships run the calendar year, therefore membership ended in December and you will have to renew your membership for 2015. You may renew online or in person at the next meeting. If you will be renewing at the next meeting please remember to bring cash or a check as we cannot process credit card payments.

| SPRING LUNCHEON SURVEY | |
Survey Says...
Thank you to everyone who took the time to provide the Spring Luncheon Committee with your valuable feedback. We want to be sure we are always being responsive to our members' needs, so you spoke and we listened! Fun changes are in store, including a new venue with more space for vendors and a shorter event time. 93% of our 45 respondents felt the luncheon needed to be shortened. As a result, the plan is to adjust the format and move from a 5 hour event to an approximately 3 hour event. Also, based on your feedback, we will modify how door prizes are handled this year. Survey results also indicate the majority of our members feel a speaker for 1 hour is best. We will make that change in seeking out our speaker this year. The most important things will not change: the fun, the vendors, the networking, a great lunch/speaker and the camaraderie with colleagues. The Spring Luncheon and Annual Business Meeting is another cost-effective and valuable aspect of your MASWA membership. Watch for more details to come as this great event gets closer but for now...SAVE THE DATE!
