As much as we loved the summer months, there is a lot to look forward to in the fall! We have two great events coming up - the September membership meeting featuring the important topic of senior drivers and of course our annual Fall Aging Conference. We look forward to seeing you!

PRESIDENT'S MONTHLY NOTE

It is hard to believe that the last month of summer has flown by. The State Fair is over and the kids are all back in school. The weather is even beginning to have a bit of a fall chill to it. Here's to hoping for a nice fall and many days of Indian Summer. While I love fall the inevitable that follows is less than my favorite season!

We would like to welcome Diana Beibighauser to the MASWA board! Diana will be working closely with Vikki Willcox as a co-chair of the program committee. They will be starting their planning process for 2015 soon so if you have any topic or speaker suggestions please reach out to one of the two of them. Welcome Diana and we look forward to having you as part of our team!

Our monthly meeting is just around the corner on September 25th and boy will it be a good one! We have a topic that almost everyone has encountered in their professional career and some, I am willing to bet, in their personal lives. Our topic is when to take the keys away. Please join us as Aida Weber from the Courage Center helps us explore the indicators of when the timing might be right, how to have that conversation and about the Courage Center's program to evaluate the safety of seniors on the road.
