 PRESIDENT'S MONTHLY NOTE

June is here along with the warm weather that we have all waited so long for. Though I must admit it is hard to believe just how quickly the first half of the year has flown by! With the temps continuing to soar and school letting out it is now time to slow down a bit and enjoy all of the wonderful summer activities that Minnesota has to offer.

Last month we had our Spring Conference and Annual Business Meeting. What a lovely afternoon filled with great friends, good food and of course a wonderful speaker. During our  Annual Meeting Beth Nemac the President of MASWA for the past two years ended her term. On behalf of the MASWA Board I would like to thank Beth for her leadership and tireless hours dedicated to MASWA. We were very lucky to have Beth as our President and we look forward to drawing upon her knowledge of the organization and wisdom as she transitions into the role of Past President. I would also to like to thank those who have worked on the board over the past two years and those who are joining us for the two years. As I have sat on the board over the last three years I am constantly amazed at the level of dedication there is to our organization by our Board. I am humbled to have been selected as the President for the next two years. I look forward to working with the Board and Membership to continue the great tradition MASWA has of providing educational and networking opportunities for those who serve seniors in the Minneapolis area.
