Aging Family Style: Same Music, Different Dance

All of us work hard to help our loved ones, and those we serve in the community, grow old with grace, purpose and joy. This year the Fall Aging Conference will focus on some of the challenges you and your colleaagues encounter when caring for your patients/clients, and your own family members. The conference will offer in depth information allowing us to analyze aging and offer differenty types of care based on the needs of seniors today. There are many factors that impact how we care for the elderly and our goal is to help you professional caregivers, adjust to those changes in an effort to improve the quality of life for our aging population.

Guest Speakers:

Msgr. Charles Fahey, - sponsored by Above and Beyond - will be presenting on "Aging in a New Era".

Hendrik Hartog, Ph.D., - sponsored by Right at Home - will be presenting on "Compensation for Care: How Families
Once Worked for Pay".

PRESIDENT'S MONTHLY NOTE
   Beth Nemec

Each Fall, I eagerly anticipate the annual Fall Aging Conference. This year is no exception. I know how hard the committee has been working to attract and secure great speakers, coordinate exhibitors, distribute information on the conference via a brochure, announcements and website, plan the menu, coordinate registration and answer multiple questions. All of their hard work results in an outstanding conference and a reunion of committed professionals that serve seniors in our community. I hope that you will have the opportunity to attend!

We are continuing to work with our website - there are kinks to resolve and we continue to thank you for your patience. We look forward to the opportunity to add value to our members with the ability to connect to social media among other benefits of your membership.

We also want to continue to listen to feedback and encourage your insight and comments regarding MASWA. Please feel free to bring any issues forward to me or any of our board members. I look forward to connecting with you at the Fall Aging Conference on the 24th.

Sincerely,

Beth Nemec
