PRESIDENT'S MONTHLY NOTE

 Beth Nemec

I don't know where the time goes - I just know that it is in short supply most of the time. I hope this August you are able to find time enjoying the Minnesota weather and family and friends. A few weeks ago the board was able to spend about 5 hours of time, reflecting on our past year and looking forward to the coming one. We acknowledged the things that we have accomplished including a new website, providing a standard meeting location, trying a new meeting format, changing/updating the bylaws and a few other smaller/housekeeping issues. This coming year we will spend getting our infrastructure in place and building a solid foundation with some documented roles and responsibilities as well as expanding our use of the website - which still has a lot of work and potential for our members. If you have any questions or ideas on MASWA, please bring it to the attention of any one of our board members.

Thank you for your patience and feedback regarding the changes we have made. I want to be sure to acknowledge the committed and talented MASWA board of professionals and the organizations they represent for volunteering their time and talent to our association. I couldn't do it without you and truly want to say thank you and let you know how much you are appreciated.
