BREWSTER DAY CAMP Newsletter February 1, 2017 Vol. 36 Issue 5

 Hello Brewster Day Camp, "I LOVED it!" Whenever I ask people what they thought of their camp experience - whether they went to camp as a child or worked at one as an adult - I inevitably engender a PASSIONATE response: "My camp, ____________ (fill in the blank) is the best camp ever!"
What follows is a conversation that launches into PASSIONATE memories of epoch adventures and monstrous tales of exciting escapades. Soon, the exchange becomes a thoughtful discussion about the special people found at camp. From my experience, it's the people at camp who make camp, campy!
Camp people are unique folks: They are PASSIONATE; They embrace life; They celebrate goodness; They live life with an open heart; They believe in helping others; They share these qualities with wild abandon, making the world better for those around them.
As life on our planet gets more complicated every day, I challenge us all to embody the PASSIONATE qualities found in camp people. If you missed going to camp or working at one, I suggest spending some time with someone who did! Or come visit us at 3570 Main Street in Brewster this summer to get a huge dose of PASSIONATE campy-ness to share with others!
Even though it's February and warm weather seems far off, June, July, and August will be here before you know it! Until then, I am sending you a PASSIONATE heaping of... CHGsP!
