Many of our campers (and counselors!) select TIME in the pool on these sunny and hot August afternoons.

BDC's ANIMAL FIND of the WEEK was discovered by our Mariners Hill campers when they dug up "King Triton" on Crosby Beach this past Thursday! Did you know? King Triton bears a striking resemblance to Mariners Hill Head, Matt McGue?!
Wednesday's Swim Meet versus Orleans After School was a rousing success!  A good TIME was had by all!

If you are remaining on the Cape this fall, consider spending some more TIME with the BDC HOWLS program. Call us for details: 508-896-6555.

ALSO IMPORTANT: Parking for this event is limited. Please follow the directions of our Parking Lot Attendants if you are planning on staying for the Council Fire. Thank you!

BDC welcomes many campers from places around the world. These two campers on Mariners Hill are enjoying their TIME together on this side of "the Pond".

Silly TIMES on campus often make for the most fun moments in the day!

This past Friday we celebrated CARNIVAL DAY at BDC.  Carnival Day is one of the most beloved Special Events Days at Brewster Day Camp.  One camper said at the end of the day Thursday, "I wish it were already bed TIME. I wish I was already asleep.  I cannot wait for Carnival Day!"
LATE MORNING DROP OFF

If you arrive at camp after 9:00 a.m., you must stop by the camp office to check your child into camp. This is a safety issue because we take attendance at Morning Assembly which ends at 9:00a.m. Please help us keep your camper SAFE this summer, by checking in at the office if you arrive after 9:00 a.m. Thanks!
Dear BDC Campers, Families, and Friends,

Welcome to Week #8 - our last week of BDC'15! For those of you  newly joining us, we have lots of SUMMER TIME left to share with you! Many wonderful BDC traditions punctuate our time together in the last five days of the summer.

This Thursday, BDC will celebrate Wampanoag Day at camp. During the morning, all of the camp clocks and schedules will be removed and campers move freely from one activity to the next, enjoying each moment to the fullest. Like the native people who lived on this land before us, on this day we aim to teach children by taking away the pressure and constraints of time. On Wampanoag Day at BDC "the time that it takes is the time that it takes."

As we move into Week #8, and beyond, the constraints on our time in the fall and winter will begin to pull at our thoughts. I will be remembering to breath deeply and recognize all that the sweet SUMMER TIME contains.

Wile our days together are winding down...TIME at 3570 Main Street becomes all the more precious. Be present. Savor the moments. Embrace SUMMER TIME. Carry it's special message with you where ever you go...

From all of us to all of you....enjoy your SUMMER TIME!

This past Sunday, at the Pan-Mass Challenge, these BDC counselors volunteered to meet and assist the riders at the finish line in Provincetown. Thank you volunteers and riders for your TIME and dedication to this wonderful cause!
LEAP Out Head, Oren Richkin, and Wianno Counselor Molly Olmstead had a great TIME leading an Admirals Hill off-campus bike/swim trip to Coast Guard Beach in Eastham.  Campers report that the weather was perfect, the scenery was gorgeous, and the water temperature was exactly right for swimming!
NEW P.M. PICK-UP TIME WEEK 8

Pick-up time is now expanded in the afternoons at BDC for this summer only. If you are able and interested, you may now pick up your camper beginning as early as 4:00p.m. By extending the pick-up time to one hour (from 4:00-5:00p.m.) the parking lot congestion is alleviated while the church is under construction next door.

Every day, campers have some time after lunch to relax and be at leisure.  Sometimes it is these quiet TIMES that our campers love the most at BDC. These are special moments spent with friends nearby, focusing on a project.

NEW THIS SUMMER!

Due to the ongoing construction of our neighbor, the Bible Alliance Church, the parking lot of the church is unavailable to families this summer. Join us as we meet this new challenge and continue to make our parking lot a safe place!

Here are some changes at BDC due to lack of parking:

1. BDC families may only use our parking lot for daily camper drop off and pick ups. Please use the
Hello&Go in the morning as often as you can for quick drop offs.

2. Please follow the directions of the BDC Parking Lot Attendants in the orange vests who skillfully direct all cars.

3. Any Camp Office business which can be conducted on the phone or in person between the hours of 10a.m. and 3p.m. is greatly appreciated!

4. Parking for Family Swim will begin at 5:00 in our parking lot.

5. End of the day popcorn sales are suspended this season. However, popcorn will be offered as a special snack on occasion and sold during the Final Camp Picnic in order to continue to raise money for BDC Camperships.

We will periodically update you with how this is all going! Thanks for your understanding as BDC continues to be a good neighbor!
