For info about BDC, go here.
Past staff members who met as counselors at BDC, Jenny and Chris Candon, used BDC tie-dye to make shirts for their 7year old's birthday party. The BDC tie-dye spirit lives on past camp!!!

NEW P.M. PICK-UP TIME WEEKS #5-8

Pick-up time is now expanded in the afternoons at BDC for the next three weeks. If you are able and interested, you may now pick up your camper beginning as early as 4:00p.m. for this summer only. By extending the pick-up time to one hour (from 4:00-5:00p.m.) the parking lot congestion is alleviate while the church is under construction next door.
Each summer our returning campers and counselors step back onto our 4-acre campus with HAPPINESS in their hearts, confidence in their stride, and are filled with appreciation for another fantastic BDC summer! These relationships are what make camp so special.

Sometimes the quiet moments in a crowd are the HAPPIEST moments to take with you.

LATE MORNING DROP OFF

If you arrive at camp after 9:00 a.m., you must stop by the camp office to check your child into camp. This is a safety issue because we take attendance at Morning Assembly which ends at 9:00a.m. Please help us keep your camper SAFE this summer, by checking in at the office if you arrive after 9:00 a.m. Thanks!

NEW THIS SUMMER!

Due to the ongoing construction of our neighbor, the Bible Alliance Church, the parking lot of the church is unavailable to families this summer. Join us as we meet this new challenge and continue to make our parking lot a safe place!

Here are some changes at BDC due to lack of parking:

1. BDC families may only use our parking lot for daily camper drop off and pick ups. Please use the
Hello&Go in the morning as often as you can for quick drop offs.

2. Please follow the directions of the BDC Parking Lot Attendants in the orange vests who skillfully direct all cars.

3. Any Camp Office business which can be conducted on the phone or in person between the hours of 10a.m. and 3p.m. is greatly appreciated!

4. Parking for Family Swim will begin at 5:00 in our parking lot.

5. End of the day popcorn sales are suspended this season. However, popcorn will be offered as a special snack on occasion and sold during the Final Camp Picnic in order to continue to raise money for BDC Camperships.

We will periodically update you with how this is all going! Thanks for your understanding as BDC continues to be a good neighbor!

This camper and counselor share a  HAPPY moment of success down at LEAP Out.

EXPERIENCE GOLF AT BDC THIS SUMMER!

Every THURSDAY afternoon, Sailors & Admirals Hill campers may spend their first choice period having a semi-private golf lesson.

Lessons are offered at the Captain's Golf Course in Brewster, for $45 per week.  Add the lesson by contacting the Camp Office.

Good Day BDC Campers and Families!

Here at Brewster Day Camp, Week #6 is officially upon us.

WOW! Time just keeps on rolling! Families and campers alike are sun-kissed, bright, and cheerful. We are all totally enjoying all that Cape Cod and Brewster Day Camp have to offer in high summer.

This week, I spoke with a parent on the Welcome Walk.  Curious, I asked, "What do you see here?"

She said, "I see happy here. I see pure happiness."  She went on to add, "I hope that at some point in every child's life -- wherever they are -- they have a moment to expereince this level of HAPPY."

From us to you this week -- enjoy the sights of our HAPPY campus. Wherever you are...whether you are at 3570 Main Street, a hike, by a pool, around the corner, or across the world...Join us in this moment. Take the time to be grateful for your kind of HAPPY.

And until we see you again, we are sending you our kind of HAPPY.
Happy Summer!

What a sweet and delicious garden find!  For this camper, HAPPINESS is a fresh strawberry in July!

These lovely Lasers paused just long enough in the afternoon to offer us a snapshot of HAPPY togetherness!

For BDC's ANIMAL FIND of the WEEK, what more can we say? This BDC Camper is as HAPPY as a clam!

"The most important thing is to enjoy your life -- to be happy -- it's all that matters."

~ Audrey Hepburn

These dancing Beetle Cats spread their kind of HAPPY all the way from their tent to Archery!  What fun!
These Mariners Hill girls have quite a HAPPY harvest day in the BDC Garden! At camp, even the plants are HAPPY!

Our BDC Edible Garden has seen a bountiful harvest of zucchini this week!  In response to this bounty, our ECOD campers are busy baking (and eating)! Above is ECOD Head, Sophie's Olmsted's famous family recipe. HAPPY eating!

A quick dip in a cool pond on a hot, hot, hot day makes for three very HAPPY campers!

Our Camper Leaders do  a splendid job dispensing ribbons, good spirit, and HAPPINESS at the pool during our many swim meets each week!  Great job Camper Leaders, and great job swimmers!
