This camper, (who provided the name for BDC's new tent group - more info below) has protected an egg with string as well as found objects from nature.  He is preparing to BOLDLY drop the egg from the third floor of our Salt Box Building hoping that it will not break upon impact with the earth!

Week #1 News!

Thank you to everyone who completed our recent Snow Day Survey. Camp will be open as planned Week #1 (June 23-27th) and we are ready to welcome your family with all the usual fanfare. For those of you who are still in school, please join us in any way, shape, or form that feels comfortable to you and your family! Flexibility is the name of the game Week #1... Please reach out to the BDC Office if you would like to discuss your plans.

Hello BDC Family and Friends,

Be BOLD! screams the month of May in New England: If you are going to plant the vegetable garden, you better get to it so it has time to grow; If you need to add bark mulch to the flower beds to keep the weeds from growing - it's time, before the weeds win the race; If you are going to do some spring cleaning (or closet organizing) you better do it before it's summer and all you want to do is be outside playing with the kids!

Before we know it, BDC will be in full swing. Camp directors all over the globe are madly making last minute To Do Lists as more things get added each day than are crossed off. May is the month in the camp world that we BOLDly sign all of our paper work, check the equipment in storage, order new supplies, and make all of the planning of the winter months come to life! We are almost ready...

Look for your May Getting Ready for Camp Packet which will go in the mail later this month for families who will be at camp this summer.

At BDC, the BOLDness that we embody in May carries us through the season as we pick up speed and make our way to Cape Cod for the summer. Sending BOLD thoughts your way as well as...

P.S. TODAY is the final day to shorten your camp schedule without penalty. You may always add time pending availability. Please be in touch with any questions. Thanks!

Making friends with people of different ages can be a BOLD statement about how we feel about another person, regardless of how long they have been living on this earth. Camp has a unique way of reminding us that age just does not matter!

Have you ever watched green leaves break through the earth? Talk about BOLD...That's what I'm saying!

Congratulations to Martine Knights (past BDC WOW Head &Tent Counselor) who has been promoted to Associate Camp Director this summer! Martine will work closely with Rob in the Camp Office, beginning this month. For her full bio and more information about the other directors at BDC go here

BDC Camper Necklaces are a visual reminder of how BOLD campers are each day....Each colored bead represents the meeting of a goal at our various activities. To learn more about BDC's creative and unique activities go here and scroll below the Camp Schedule.

From the BDC Family to YOUR Family,
we are wishing you...

COURAGE, HOPE, GOOD SPIRIT & PEACE!
