At BDC, we LOVE when family and friends are part of the camp experience! We invite all caregivers to engage with our staff in conversations during drop off and pick up to create a seamless support system around each child. We also welcome family and friends to join our twice a day morning and afternoon assemblies and--of course--our weekly All Camp Friday Morning Assembly. Family Swim is a great way to enjoy camp with your camper each evening from 5:00-6:30 daily. Families LOVE attending our Mid-Summer Pot Luck Picnic.  And we all LOVE our Final Council Fire! What do you LOVE to do at BDC with your family?

We often do not know that we will LOVE something new until we attempt to do it. Campers at BDC are encouraged to support one another - especially when they are experiencing new challenges like climbing the rock wall. Attempt it...you might just LOVE it!
hands up maya
Here is a short list of what this BDC camper is saying (in case you can't tell...) I LOVE the pool! I LOVE being a kid! I LOVE the summer on Cape Cod! And of course, I LOVE BDC!
Cloe
After 18 and 1/2 full and wonderful years, our beloved camp dog, Cloe, passed away the afternoon of January 30th. She was embraced by many young and old. Cloe will be remembered as a steadfast friend to those who LOVED her. She was a dedicated protector of children everywhere and will be sorely missed walking the hills to clean up under the picnic tables after lunch. A special thank you to Cloe for being a wonderful dog mentor to Indigo!
Hello BDC Family and Friends,

LOVE...

...
i
s the obvious theme for this month's Ewaves! When I think about LOVE, I realize that there are so many different types of LOVE that we humans have the potential to experience. To name just a few: The LOVE shared between a parent and a child; Or the LOVE that one has for a once-in-a-lifetime experience such as a warm vacation in the dead of winter; Or the tender LOVE that one has for a beloved family pet; Or the childhood LOVE of a favorite color - mine was "pink, purple, light blue and light green!"

No matter what color you LOVE, this month, I challenge you to think about what you LOVE and then share that passion with others. No matter how small or simple that LOVE is - sharing it will make that LOVE grow. When we express what we LOVE, we share something special about ourselves. Our passion and devotion makes us unique. This month, celebrate your LOVE with zeal. Embrace that which makes you, YOU!

Sharing my LOVE and sending you.....

CHGS+P!

BDC NOW: Rob and Misa send you lots of LOVE from the arctic tundra also known as Cape Cod Bay....see details below!
frozen bay
Where in the world is THIS picture taken? Of course, it's February at Crosby Landing in Brewster, Mass! For those not familiar with Crosby Landing, the land in the far distance looking across frozen Cape Cod Bay is Provincetown! Do you LOVE Cape Cod in deep winter as much as in the heart of the summer? We certainly do!
good friends
Learning how to be a good friend is essential to the fabric of any good camp experience. At BDC, we devote entire activities to building friendship-making skills. I LOVE seeing posters like the ones in this photo which visually tell the story of tent groups brainstorming "What We Do" to be a good friend. What do you LOVE seeing?
Abby Sikorski's room
We hear stories about how campers hang their BDC necklaces, camp pennants, and Staff Photos in their rooms. BDC Camper, Abby Sikorski, recently remodeled her bedroom and she sent us this photograph showing just how much she LOVES camp even in the winter! Send us a photo or make a video telling us how much you LOVE BDC and we might show it off right here next month!
TAKE A MOMENT...

To tell us what you think!

Over one hundred people have completed our recent survey to let us know what you think about some of our new camp ideas. If you would like to register your opinion, go here. This link will remain live until Monday morning, February 4th.

Thank you...we LOVE hearing from you!
