 A New Life for an Old Sailfish |

A precursor to the more popular Sunfish, the Sailfish is a sailing vessel with no cockpit. We recently completed an extensive restoration of this Sailfish. The entire boat was sanded, new gel coat was applied, the hardware was polished, and the wood was stained and varnished. This model is likely from the early to mid-seventies. We love projects like this! Let us know if you would like us to restore or work on anything for you this winter. |

As part of our mission to meet our obligations to our communities, and the environment, both Irish Boat Shop locations have been recertified as Clean Marinas by Clean Marina Michigan. Irish Boat Shop has been certified as a Clean Marina since 2006. As a Clean Marina, Irish Boat Shop does its part to improve and maintain Michigan's waterways by reducing and eliminating harmful pollutants in the water system, as well as continually acting in the best interest of the Great Lakes water system. The Michigan Clean Marina program is a joint program run by the Michigan Sea Grant College program, Michigan Boating Industries Association, and the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality. Irish Boat Shop, as a Certified Clean Marina, strives for continuous improvement in its environmental stewardship. |
