| Harbor Springs Open House |
The Sales Department in Harbor Springs will be hosting an open house on Saturday, June 1st from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm to display our new and used boats. We will have special pricing on all carryover 2012 boats. Also, Sea Ray is currently offering its Open Horizons discounts. We will have boats in and out of the water including a Sealegs, a Sea Ray 250 SLX with quiet ride, a Boston Whaler 170 Dauntless, and more. Lunch will be served from 11:00-1:00. Come by and see what we can do to help you get on the water!

NOTE: All classes are free of charge. Minimum age for class attendance is 12 years of age. It is recommended that students eat prior to class or bring a small snack to class. Due to the short duration of the course, there will be no meal time. Students receiving a satisfactory test grade will receive their Michigan Boating Safety Certificate at the conclusion of the course.
Completion of this class is MANDATORY for individuals: (1) born after December 31, 1978 to operate a PWC (jet ski), (2) for juveniles between the ages of 12 and 15 to operate a boat, and (3) and for anyone born on or after July 1, 1996 to operate a boat.
Please note that individuals must be at least 14 to operate a PWC. 14 and 15 year olds must bewithin 100 ft. of a parent, guardian or designee at least 21 years. of age to operate a PWC. Individuals must be at least 16 to operate a PWC by themselves. Individuals born after December 31, 1978 must have their boater's safety in their possession when operating a PWC. Individuals born on or after July 1, 1996 must have their boater's safety in their possession when operating a boat.

New Faces in New Places

We are pleased to have longtime technician, Jon Gafill, step up into our service writer position in the Harbor Springs yard. Jon has been an employee of Irish Boat Shop for 14 years focusing on woodworking and rigging. Jon is a boat owner, sailor, former licensed captain, former certified marine surveyor, and has 30+ years as a craftsman.

Brittney Weber has joined our bookkeeping department working mainly in Harbor Springs. She grew up in Manistique, MI. and has recently moved to Petoskey. Brittney is currently going to school at Bay de Noc Community College and is majoring in accounting. She's happy to be a part of the Irish Boat Shop team and is looking forward to meeting everyone this summer.

We are pleased to introduce and welcome Barry Maginity as our Service Manager in Charlevoix. Barry has strong background in service, electrical and mechanical systems, and fine woodworking. Together with Service Writers, Roger Smith and Lisa Cross, we stand ready to help you have a great season on the water!
