TURF HD BEGINS OPERATIONS IN CHARLOTTESVILLE

This spring, a new lawn care business will begin its services in the greater Charlottesville area. This new business, Turf HD, is set to make its mark on the area, offering environmentally responsible lawn care services to local homeowners.

Owner, Richard Harder, is launching his startup here in Charlottesville and hopes it will grow to other areas in the next few years. Although Mr. Harder is just opening Turf HD, he has experience expanding other similar startups around the country. One such example was a lawn care company in Colorado that he helped launch in 2009. This company grew to over 3,000 customers in just over a year and quickly became a successful business in Denver. After pursuing a career more related to his degree in Supply Chain Management as a Commodity Manager, Mr. Harder learned that his true passion lies in the lawn care field in which he spent much of his earlier years. Today, Mr. Harder hopes that the culmination of his successful experiences elsewhere, a unique approach to lawn care services, and a healthy and welcoming market such as Charlottesville will translate to success and growth in the area.

Turf HD operates with values centered on offering environmentally responsible services at reasonable prices. This unique approach to lawn care service will give local residents a fresh option when planning out their lawn maintenance this summer. The company's services will range from fertilizing and aeration, to insect, disease and weed control. Turf HD has been involved in marketing and sales since January and will continue to do so as the weather gets warmer.
