Today charities, families, businesses,

community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.

In honor of Giving Tuesday, One Southern Indiana (1si) contacted its members who are charitable organizations and asked them to share their needs, including volunteers, donations etc.

Follow the link below for a list of those organizations, some with specific needs and some with general - but all with a link to their website for more information on how you can help. We encourage you to find a cause that speaks to your heart and to give early and often. There's no better gift than giving from the heart. For more information on Giving Tuesday click here. Don't Forget to Walk the Bridge this Saturday!

The public celebration for the new downtown bridge, recently named for President Abraham Lincoln, is this

Saturday, December 5. Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear will cut the ribbon and the public is invited to walk the bridge. The celebration will be an open house format, with the public invited to visit the deck of the new cable-stayed bridge 10 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be selfie stations across the bridge giving you a chance to capture the moment. You're encouraged to post your pictures to social media, #walkthebridge. The first 10,000 visitors will receive keepsake medallions to mark the historic event. Click here for more information.
