Program on Local Government Revenue Systems Being Offered

One Southern Indiana (1si) is partnering with the Purdue Extension Clark County and the Clark County Assessor's Office to host a program on the local government revenue system. Learn more about our property tax system and how property tax caps work, dig deeper with data from the region and explore recent legislative changes and their impact on local governments. The program will be held at 5:30 p.m. August 6 at Kye's 2 in Jeffersonville. To register or for more information, click here.

Our Southern Indiana - Call to Action

In the next couple of weeks, Southern Indiana County Councils will be presented an ordinance regarding the membership of the county in a coalition with other cities and counties to form a Regional Development Authority (RDA). We need grassroots support for this movement to succeed.
Your attendance and voice are important as a Southern Indiana resident who is invested in seeing the businesses and citizens of Southern Indiana grow and flourish. Your stated support is needed so the Our Southern Indiana Regional Cities Initiative can jump start an economic development boom in the region that could last for decades. Annual Meeting Non-Profit Finalists Announced

1si received 15 applications for the first Annual Non-Profit of the Year Award. Finalists were chosen by an independent panel of judges. The winner will be announced at the annual meeting on August 18 at 11:30 a.m. at Northside Christian Church.

Sometimes we need to step away from the tablets and smartphones and remember other methods we can use to Get Plugged In. Future Leaders Advisory Group (FLAG)'s first roundtable will feature speakers from Young Professionals Association of Louisville (YPAL) and Leadership Southern Indiana (LSI) who discuss how to take advantage of their programs in order to excel professionally.
