July's event is the "Roundtable" and gives you a chance to share your business with a table of 7. Each attendee will receive two minutes. Bring plenty of business cards. "Non-Profit of the Year" applications now being accepted
One Southern Indiana (1si) is accepting applications for their first Non-Profit of the Year Award to be presented at our Annual Meeting on August 18, 2015 at Northside Christian Church. Interested non-profits must complete an application, be a 501c(3) and provide documentation to prove their status. Educational institutions and charitable funding sources are not eligible for the award.

Reignited Business Celebrates New Beginnings 
Thanks to a change in the law, business is smoking in Floyds Knobs. Starting July 1, a narrow exception to Indiana's statewide smoking ban allows cigar smoking in cigar stores and cigar bars. The Office Cigar Lounge marked the occasion with a grand reopening and a series of customer appreciation events .

VOSS Clark Considers Additional $5 Million Equipment Upgrade to Jeffersonville Facility
One Southern Indiana and the City of Jeffersonville announced VOSS Clark's intention to improve its steel-processing facility located at 701 Loop Road in the Port of Indiana - Jeffersonville. Through the coordination of 1si, VOSS Clark officials appeared before the Jeffersonville Redevelopment Commission, and the outcome determined VOSS Clark is eligible to request local tax incentives at the Jeffersonville City Council meeting on July 6, 2015. Jeffersonville City Council approved the tax abatement and VOSS Clarknow plans to invest an additional $5 million in upgrading its equipment...read more

Cardinal Aluminum Co., dba Designer Moulding, announced today the relocation of its Jeffersonville facility to the Borden Business Park, located on East Water Street in Borden, Indiana. Announcing the move, CFO Thomas A. Gividen said, "Our new location in Borden is a good overall fit for our product needs and allows us future expansion opportunities. As a company we are very interested in the available workforce in Borden and its surrounding communities as an opportunity to increase our employee base."
