Introducing a Community-wide Health Initiative and Challenge

Is your New Year's resolution to lose weight? Need a little support and encouragement to carry it through?

Introducing "Smaller Waists for a Better Workplace," a contest for teams to lose weight, become healthier and compete for a variety of prizes. The competition is open to anyone (members and non-members alike). Teams must have five members that include at least two women.  Each team will weigh in as a team at the kickoff event and again at the wrap-up event by confidential medical professionals. The team with the highest percentage of weight loss as a whole will be the winner.

We will kick off this health challenge on January 21st at the Christian Academy of Indiana at 1000 Academy Drive in New Albany.  Teams must weigh in between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to be eligible for the competition.   The event will feature booths providing health tips and information, samples of healthy foods, and discounts on a variety of weight loss aids and screenings. The wrap up event will be March 4th with teams winning prizes for most weight lost and most enthusiasm / team spirit.

Registration for the contest is $10 per person. Teams will need to give a team name. So talk to your neighbors, your co-workers and your friends and form a team now!  Challenge your business rivals to a weight-off!   Click here to register online.
