Race for Local Charities and Rotary The Rotary Club of Long Grove, Kildeer, and Hawthorn Woods will hold its 18th annual Heritage Race at 8:30AM on September 12th at Kildeer Countryside School in Long Grove. Participants can choose either a 5K run or 3K walk, and their registrations support one of eleven local charities working to make our community a better place. Over $1.3 million has been raised by this event. For runners, course is USATF certified with trophies five deep over 13 categories. After the Race, enjoy Chick-fil-A breakfast biscuits, pancakes, and sausage. It'll be a wonderful day! More information and registration at http://rotaryrace.org. Hidden Treasures of Milwaukee
Visit the Grohmann Museumcollection comprising more than 1000 paintings and sculptures dating from1580 to the present.After lunch at the Lake Park Bistro, the group will tour the Basilica of f St. Joseph, patterned after St. Peter's in Rome.
Grand Dominion is accepting applications from crafters for its annual craft show on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is open to original hand-made crafts from Grand Dominion residents and non-residents. An application and information is available by calling 847-566-2403 or visiting Grand Dominion Lodge at 3555 Grand Dominion Circle, Mundelein. Registration deadline is Sept. 18. Non-resident crafters must submit photos of their crafts.
