Have you looked at your assessment to see if it is correct?
|
The 2015 Fremont Township assessment notices were mailed and published in the Mundelein Review on July 16, 2015. This is a reminder that if you feel your property is incorrectly assessed, you should contact the assessors office with comparable information. The assessor's office sets the value of your property and the taxing bodies set the tax rates.
If you need help with the comparable information, the Lake County Assessor's Office is holding outreach sessions. Click here for dates and times. There are two classes available for you before you need to file your appeal.
Before filing your appeal, contact the Fremont assessor's office with your evidence. They can be reached at 847 223-2846. If you are not happy with the outcome of your meeting, the FINAL FILING DATE to appeal for Fremont Township properties will be August 17, 2015.
Please note that this is the only time you can appeal your assessment. Many people call the assessor's office when the tax bill comes. That is too late. You must appeal the value of your home by August 17, 2015.

|
The best things in life are indeed FREE! Come out on Sunday, July 26 to hear the Prairie Brass Band. The music for every instrument in the band is written in treble clef, except for the bass trombone.
The free concert will get underway at 5 p.m. at Kracklauer Park--126 North Seymour Avenue. Gather your friends, neighbors, and family and join in the summer fun!
Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of great music in the park. Feel free to bring snacks and drinks to the park. Food also will be available for purchase from Taste of Paris and Tony's hot dogs. This special concert is proudly brought to you by the Village of Mundelein.
