Mega Realty Interested in Developing Three Acres in Downtown Mundelein's Plaza Circle Development
The Village of Mundelein and Mega Realty have entered into preliminary discussions to develop approximately 3 acres in the Village Hall Plaza Circle development. Under the proposed plan, Mega Realty plans to develop 27,000 square feet of commercial space on the first floor coupled with 130 residential rental units above the commercial space. The mixed-use six-story proposed building will include below grade parking and surface parking. A Term Sheet has been initiated on the project and this is the necessary first step in formalizing an Agreement with the developer.

Closing the Gap on the Des Plaines River Trail
You avid cyclist will love this!!!!
Construction has started on the final section of theDes Plaines River Trail that extends just south of Riverside Drive and north of Estonian Lane in Lincolnshire. Completion is expected later this fall. The 8-foot-wide paved trail will run about 1,600 feet long and close the gap between the existing northern and southern sections of the trail.  During construction, southbound trail users can still access the Lincolnshire trail to Milwaukee Avenue. South of the project, the trail will be closed at Estonian Lane. The trail access point at the rear parking lot of the former Cubby Bear property also will be closed until the project is complete. Check the website for updates.
Recycle Sheets, Blankets, Towels, Shoes, Eyeglasses
If you have used towels, sheets or blankets that need to be recycled, please consider bringing them to Fremont Township at 22385 Rt 60, Mundelein to be donated to local Animal Shelters and Rescues.  Please drop them in the bin on the front porch. This keeps them out of the landfill and puts them to good use.

We also accept eye glasses and shoes to be recycled year round.  If you are disposing of shoes that have laces, please tie the laces together. Thanks to our residents, we recycled 1240 pairs of shoes in the last twelve months!
I was on vacation so if I have forgotten to add anything, please let me know!!!
