Consider Sharing your Native Plants

If you are splitting your native flowers consider sharing with the garden.
We are looking for donations of native flowering plants for the Fremont Township Community Garden. Our garden would like to do its part to support the native pollinators that are an integral part of our food web. Native plants provide food and shelter for these insects, while helping produce food for us. If you have extra native plants, such as echinacea, yellow coneflower, bergamot, boneset, blazing star, compass flower, little bluestem or prairie dropseed, please consider sharing with our community garden! Contact Alicia at adodd67@comcast.net to coordinate drop-off.

Recycle Sheets, Blankets, Towels, Shoes, Eyeglasses
If you have used towels, sheets or blankets that need to be recycled, please consider bringing them to Fremont Township at 22385 Rt 60, Mundelein to be donated to local Animal Shelters and Rescues.  Please drop them in the bin on the front porch. This keeps them out of the landfill and puts them to good use.

We also accept eye glasses and shoes to be recycled year round.  If you are disposing of shoes that have laces, please tie the laces together. Thanks to our residents, we recycled 1240 pairs of shoes in the last twelve months!
