2015 Low Cost Pet Vaccination Clinic Schedule

Low-cost pet vaccination clinics provide a convenient and affordable way to keep pets up to date with their shots and rabies tags. Pets are taken on a first come first served basis. All animals brought to a clinic must be at least four months old. Dogs must be leashed and cats placed in carriers. Only cash will be accepted on site. For more information, call: 847.377.4700. Candidate Forum for Mundelein Trustee
Mundelein High School AP Government students will be hosting a candidate forum for Mundelein Village Trustee Candidates on March 31st in the MHS Theater at 7pm. Open to the public.
See the Musical First Wives Club Preview
Join Mundelein drama and choral students and me to see the musical First Wives Club which is previewing downtown before it's Broadway Run. The 2 p.m. Matinee is on Sunday, March 1st at the Oriental Theater in Chicago.  After the show you will get to meet members of the cast and creative team.  There are a few tickets left.  They are $50 each.  If you want to ride the school bus downtown, it will leave from Mundelein High School at 11:45 a.m. and return after the cast meet and greet after the show(guessing around 7:30 p.m.).

Some of you show choir alumni may remember choreographer David Connolly from his work with Mundelein Sound and Lights in 2002 and 2003.    David is the choreographer for First Wives Club.  He has won choreography Emmy's for his work on television and many other enormous awards.

Fremont Cert on the Radio
Our Fremont Cert team has been busy with classes and presentations helping to educate our community on emergency preparedness.  They have been busy with outreach and their first Fremont Cert produced radio show will be on WRLR 98.3FM on 2-26-15 at 8:00pm. The show is called the Preparedness 30. It will appear monthly on the station for 30 minutes.

Veteran Get Together

The Mundelein Dunkin Donuts and the Lake County Veterans and Family Services Foundation have teamed up to offer "Vets and a Cup-A-Joe" on Tuesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Dunkin Donuts located at Hawley and Route 45. All veterans of any era are invited to participate in this unique initiative-a time for veterans and military personnel to gather for conversation and friendship. Free coffee and doughnuts provided. Reservations are not needed. For more information please call

Members of the Libertyville-Mundelein Community Associates of the

Art Institute will experience a day of Ukrainian culture and cuisine on

Chicago's West Side. They begin with a guided tour of St. Nicholas Cathedral, built in 1915, with its thirteen domes, golden chandelier, and brilliant frescoes. Next on the agenda is the SS. Volodymyr and Ohla Church with its icons and famous mosaic. Lunch will be served at the Ukrainian Cultural Center, followed by a visit to the Ukrainian National Museum.  

 

Fremont Library offers The Ghost of Mary Surratt: "I Was Innocent"
Date: 3/18/2015 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 pm
Historical dramatist Lynn Rymarz portrays Mary Surratt, the first woman to be executed by the government for her alleged role in the conspiracy to assassinate President Abraham Lincoln. Hear about her life as a loving mother, widow, and landlord, and of her involvement with John Wilkes Booth. She proclaimed her innocence until the very end: "I should not have died on July 7, 1865. KIrk Players will present Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Jersy Lily
