How to report outage to Com Ed
Many people across the state lost power during the blizzard. We were lucky in our area, but if you need to report an outage or downed wire, go to www.ComEd.com/report. You can also sign up for Outage Alerts and text OUT to 26633 to report your outage and receive updates on your outage status or report an outage via the Mobile App. Visit the Outage Map at ComEd.com/map to track outages across the territory.

Do you have a well for your water source?

Our Fremont Township Well and Water Committee want you to know that The Lake County Health Department/Community Health Center is sponsoring an informational Open House and is also offering a reduced rate to private well owners for the testing of water samples. The Open House will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Lake County Central Permit Facility, 500 W. Winchester Road in Libertyville.

Experts will be on hand to answer questions about wells, why well water may have a funny taste or smell, where well water comes from and where it goes and what tests are necessary to ensure that it is safe to drink. Other health professionals will also be present to provide information on food safety, septic systems, solid waste disposal, lakes and laboratory services.

In addition, between March 2 and 12, 2015, the Department is offering a reduced rate for well water testing for private well owners. During this time, the normal $16.00 analysis fee for testing for bacteria and nitrates will be reduced to $10.00. Sterile test bottles and sampling instructions are available at Fremont Township.

Recycle towels, sheets, blankets, eye glasses, shoes
If you have used towels, sheets or blankets that need to be recycled, please consider bringing them to Fremont Township at 22385 Rt 60, Mundelein to be donated to local Animal Shelters and Rescues.  Please drop them in the bin on the front porch. This keeps them out of the landfill and puts them to good use.

We also accept eye glasses and shoes to be recycled year round.  If you are disposing of shoes that have laces, please tie the laces together.
