We have had a VERY busy month here at The Get In Touch Foundation and barely know where to begin!
We held our 11th Annual Connecticut Pretty In Pink Brunch & Women of Strength Awards, and our 1st International Intergenerational "Informed & Strong" Summit for Women and Girls!
GUESS Watches introduced their newest Sparkling Pink Special Edition "Daisy Wheel" timepiece to benefit Get In Touch in this the 2nd year of our fabulous partnership!
Businesses and schools all over the globe participated in "GIT Your Pink On!" Day and sent us photos of themselves all "pinked" out along with generous donations which will help us continue to provide our Daisy Wheels for free to schools across the world.
Every day is Breast HEALTH Awareness Day here at Get In Touch. We work tirelessly to reach more and more girls and raise the significant funding necessary to put those Daisy Wheels into their hands - thank YOU for joining us in our lifesaving mission!
Hope Lives!

Over 300 women and girls and 32 speakers joined us in New Haven, Connecticut at The Get In Touch Foundation's 1st International Intergenerational "Informed & Strong" Summit for Women and Girls on October 24-25!
Here are just a few highlights from our powerful two-day event...we'll have more photos available soon! #GITSummit
One attendee had this to say:
"Everyone young and young at heart learned something new, made new connections and more importantly walked away from the Informed & Strong Summit feeling empowered. Attendees learned that there are other girls just like themselves who battle similar challenges on a daily basis.
The days were perfectly balanced with topics that addressed healthy bodies, minds and economic empowerment! The Informed & Strong Summit succeeded in starting the dialogue that will continue to make a difference in each and every girl's life."

A great big thank you to our friend Harry Garafalo, owner of Shop Rite Stores in East Haven, Hamden, Milford, Stratford and West Haven, Connecticut, where they ran a "cash-register-campaign" to benefit The Get In Touch Foundation.
During three weeks in September, generous customers made donations to GIT totaling $28,000!!
We are grateful to each cashier who encouraged their customers to give, and to the customers who believe in our mission and made a difference with every single dollar they donated!
Thank You!!

"GIT Your Pink On!" Day Proclamation
The Get In Touch Foundation loves our hometown of Milford, Connecticut, the "small city with a big heart!"
We were thrilled to be invited to our monthly Board of Aldermen meeting to be presented with a Proclamation by our friend Mayor Ben Blake, declaring October 16th "GIT Your Pink On!" Day in our pretty little New England city!
There's no place like home!
|
"GIT Your Pink On!" Day at Bunnell HS
Each October I am invited by Health Teacher Melissa Signor to spend the morning with the Bunnell High School Senior Class girls.
After Ms. Signor teaches the Get In Touch Girls' Program and gives each girl a Daisy Wheel, I have the opportunity to spend time with these smart and thoughtful young ladies who are excited about college, making a difference in the world, and taking care of their strong, healthy bodies!
Hope Lives!!

When you get one, you give one!
Presenting a Daisy Wheel to newly-diagnosed patients who have daughters or granddaughters who would benefit from breast health education makes a diagnosis in a family a life giving moment as well as a teaching moment. Daisy Wheels may be purchased for $5 each and come in packages of 25. When you purchase a Daisy Wheel, you are also helping to provide a Daisy Wheel to a girl somewhere in the world who will have FREE breast health education because of YOU! It's simple..."When you get one, you give one!" Click the Daisy Wheel on the right to find out more.
