Mary Ann's blog!

May 6th was School Nurses Day.

In the United States alone there are more than 73,000 School Nurses who are on the front lines of healthcare for our children, and oftentimes they are the only form of healthcare a child may ever have.

We are in awe of the sacrifices School Nurses make each and every day to provide exemplary care, extraordinary compassion, and lifesaving education to our children.

School Nurses provide us all with a healthy future.

We want the world to know just how much we appreciate and value all that School Nurses do for our children...we salute them every single day of the year.

The Get In Touch Foundation loves School Nurses and we hope you'll join in our heartfelt and never ending chorus of "thank you, thank you, thank you" and tell a School Nurse today how grateful you are for their service!

Hope Lives!

The New York Times & GIT

The Get In Touch Foundation had the distinct honor of being mentioned in a moving and quite lovely Mother's Day article in The New York Times which featured an interview with me as well as my two daughters, Betsy and Mary Nilan, both founding board members of GIT.

Here's the link to the article, which also includes a short video.

Daisy Wheel against map

Presenting a Daisy Wheel to newly-diagnosed patients who have daughters or granddaughters who would benefit from breast health education makes a diagnosis in a family a life giving moment as well as a teaching moment.  Daisy Wheels may be purchased for $5 each and come in packages of 25. When you purchase a Daisy Wheel, you are also helping to provide a Daisy Wheel to a girl somewhere in the world who will have FREE breast health education because of YOU!  It's simple..."When you get one, you give one!"  Click the Daisy Wheel on the right to find out more.

Download our FREE Daisy Wheel App

We are over the moon about the Daisy Wheel App,

which has been downloaded in 83 countries!  If you're an iPad, iPod Touch or iPhone user, go to the iTunes App Store and download it for free.

If you love it as much as we do, we'd be grateful if you'd help us spread the word by telling your friends and writing a review, too.

It's making our mission to "change the world one girl at a time" a global reality!
