Tunisian GIT Girls

October has been wild and wonderful, chock full of the global engagement surrounding breast health education that we know will make a difference in lives just like the girls pictured above.

This is one of our favorite pictures of the girls we represent, diverse and ranging in age from 5th grade through 12th grade, The Get In Touch Foundation's recommended age range for our Girls' Program & Daisy Wheels.

All of the excitement that surrounds our "GIT Your PInk On!" Days, Pretty In Pink Events, and our super-cool brand new philanthropic partnership with GUESS Watches is all about making our mission stronger and more sustainable - making the goal I set nearly 10 years ago when I founded Get In Touch more attainable than ever before ... "putting a Daisy Wheel into the hands of every girl in the world."

Hope Lives!

10th Annual CT Pretty In Pink & Women of Strength Awards

Our 10th Annual event, honoring 4-year breast cancer survivor and breast health/cancer advocate Angela Rau-Booth, and "Suite B," the miracle-working staff of the Breast Center at the McGivney Center for Cancer Care at Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven was a smashing success!

We hope you enjoy this beautiful video, which includes photos from the event, that will give you an idea of just how special our honorees, our guests, and our sponsors are, and how important our lifesaving mission is.

October 17th was International "GIT Your PInk On!" Day

Did you celebrate International "GIT Your Pink On!" Day?

Held on the third Friday in October, it's a great way for schools and businesses to help raise awareness and funds for GIT.

You might be thinking that October 17 has come and gone, so it's too late to participate...BUT, we like to say that
any day can be a "GIT Your Pink On!" Day, so feel free to choose any day you like - then Click here to learn more about how your school or business can "GIT" involved!
Bunnell High School Goes Pink on October 17th

One of my favorite days of the year for
The Get In Touch Foundation began by spending some time with some of my favorite people on the planet - GIRLS!!  It's an honor for me to have a standing invitation each year to speak to the Senior Class Girls at Bunnell High School in Stratford, Connecticut - and believe me, I learn at least as much from them as they learn from me!

"GIT Your Pink On!" Day Celebrations Everywhere!

Cozy's Cuts for Kids, a New York City-based salon, held a "GIT Your Pink On!" Day (GYPOD, for short), along with many other schools and organizations such as Masuk HS in Monroe, CT, St. Joseph's HS in Trumbull, CT, and Lauralton Hall in GIT"s hometown of Milford, Connecticut, as well as our good friends at Daviess County HS in Owensboro, Kentucky and New York City Harbor High School.

We couldn't be happier about all the support-

and we love being able to share some of the photos they sent our way:

GUESS Watches GIT on TV

Here's another reason why we're so happy about our partnership with GUESS Watches: the Sparkling Pink watch appeared on CBS TV's "The Talk!"  Everyone in the audience of the October 8 show received a watch, as well as a Daisy Wheel.  And, if that wasn't enough fun, "Extra" host Mario Lopez showed off the watch on NBC's October 24 show!

If you want to get in on the fun, you can order your watch online or find a location near you by clicking here.  Be sure to email us a picture of yourself wearing your sporty chic watch and we may feature you in our next newsletter - or Tweet your picture using the hashtag
#timetoGIT!
GIT Reaches Far and Wide

We're feeling somewhat humbled to have received an order for our Daisy Wheels for a school in Beirut, Lebanon...we know every day that our Daisy Wheel is saving lives around the world, but occasionally we are reminded of just how far our reach is -

and how so many of YOU make that reach possible.

And, Macedonia became the 82nd country where people have decided to Get In Touch by downloading our Free Daisy Wheel app (you can find more on that at the end of this fabulous newsletter!)

WE ARE GLOBAL!

Our Get In Touch Girls' Program is being implemented in every state in the US and in 27 additional countries...but as you can see we still have a long way to go until that entire map is PINK!

NASN Radio Interviews GIT Founder

It was an honor to be interviewed by National Association of School Nurses
Executive Director Donna Mazyck, RN, MSN, NCSN on NASN Radio.

We talked about The Get In Touch Foundation and how School Nurses have helped make our mission a movement - click here to listen.
Dr. Kristi Funk's Sweet Tweet about GIT

We love that our friend Dr. Kristi Funk of the Pink Lotus Breast Center, and a member of The Get In Touch Foundation's Consulting Board, is wearing the beautiful GUESS Sparkling Pink Watch to benefit GIT and Tweeting about us and our Daisy Wheel and the importance of breast health education!

If you've got a GUESS Sparkling Pink Watch, we'd love for YOU to take a pic of yourself and Tweet at us using the hashtag #timetoGIT!

You can find us on Twitter right here.

Informed & Strong

We have launched our "Informed & Strong" appeal with a goal of reaching
One Million Girls in 2015 with Daisy Wheels - and we need YOUR help!
When you get one, you give one!

Daisy Wheel against map

Presenting a Daisy Wheel to newly-diagnosed patients who have daughters or granddaughters who would benefit from breast health education makes a diagnosis in a family a life giving moment as well as a teaching moment.  Daisy Wheels may be purchased for $4 each and come in packages of 25. When you purchase a Daisy Wheel, you are also helping to provide a Daisy Wheel to a girl somewhere in the world who will have FREE breast health education because of YOU!  It's simple..."When you get one, you give one!"

Click the Daisy Wheel on the right to find out more.

Download our FREE Daisy Wheel App

We are over the moon about the Daisy Wheel App,

which has been downloaded in 82 countries!  If you're an iPad, iPod Touch or iPhone user, go to the iTunes App Store and download it for free.

If you love it as much as we do, we'd be grateful if you'd help us spread the word by telling your friends and writing a review, too.

It's making our mission to "change the world one girl at a time" a global reality!
