Mary Ann's blog!

As the 2014-2015 school year begins, I am energized by the very hope that seems to float in the air this time of year - yellow school buses, overstuffed backpacks, excited students walking in groups to and from the very place that can provide them with a passport to the world and a promising future!

I think it most appropriate to feature 17-year old education activist Malala Yousafzai in our back-to-school newsletter.

If you take education for granted, even for a moment, remind yourself of this remarkable young woman and her passion to fight for education for EVERYONE, not just herself.

We are all Malala. At least we should be.

The Get In Touch Foundation is honored to be at home in schools in 27 countries all over the globe - we value education and all the power it holds to "change the world one girl at a time!"

Hope Lives!

"Special Announcement on September 1st"

Be on the lookout for a "Special Announcement" from us on September 1st!

It's TOP SECRET until then...
"The LorenFlower™ Project"

My dear friend and New England artist Loren Costantini is the founder of The LorenFlower™ Project, and has created the "Wasil Flower" to benefit Get In Touch.

Each sculpture has its own name and message printed on wildflower seed-paper cradled in its single leaf. Tear it out and plant it, and Mother Nature herself carries the message, too! Each LorenFlower™ is produced in a limited edition and created from reclaimed and recycled materials. Its inspirational message and series number

appear on the flower's base, and all sculptures are signed by the artist.

The LorenFlower™ Project gives half of the proceeds

from the sale of the "Wasil Flower" to The Get In Touch Foundation.

LorenFlowers™ can be placed indoors or outdoors,

and they help you to "Be The Seed" of good spirit.

You can purchase your one-of-a-kind "Wasil Flower" to benefit

The Get In Touch Foundation by visiting The LorenFlower™ Project.

Jewish Daily Forward

Honored to have been interviewed by The Jewish Daily Forward
and that The Get In Touch Foundation was featured in this
really important and informative piece - When Men Get Breast Cancer -
about the far too little known fact that men get breast cancer.

Tell the men in your life how important it is for THEM to "get in touch."
Tell them now.
When you get one, you give one!

Daisy Wheel against map

Presenting a Daisy Wheel to newly diagnosed patients who have daughters or granddaughters who would benefit from breast health education makes a diagnosis in a family a life giving moment as well as a teaching moment.

Daisy Wheels may be purchased for $4 each and come in packages of 25.

When you purchase a Daisy Wheel, you are also helping to provide a Daisy Wheel to a girl somewhere in the world who will have FREE breast health education because of YOU!

It's simple..."When you get one, you give one!"
