May 7th was National School Nurses Day and The Get In Touch Foundation continues to salute these wonderful women (and men!) who care for our most precious gift - our children. We celebrate them every single day and look forward to joining them next month in San Antonio, Texas for the 46th Annual National Association of School Nurses Conference, where I will once again be presenting "Get In Touch with Breast Health - for Life!"
We've had a busy few months here at Get In Touch and hope you take a few minutes to click on the links below to see all of the wonderful press we've been getting. All this global attention translates into more people learning about our important lifesaving mission and in turn letting their local School Nurse or Health Educator know about Get In Touch.
We've done a Google+ Hangout, several guest blogs, and even got to hang out with fellow cancer survivor and activist Fran Drescher while she appears on Broadway!
Stay tuned, folks, this is just the beginning...

Last month I participated in my first "Google Hangout" with some fabulous students in the entrepreneurship program at UNC Chapel Hill and Northeastern University.
If you wonder how Get In Touch got its start and how we stay mission driven, check it out here.

Special thanks to our friends at School Health who invited me to share the story of Get In Touch on their blog so that more School Nurses could learn about our free lifesaving program! Click here to read "Get In Touch with Breast Health - For Life!"

Fresh from speaking at the phenomenal and energizing Generation W Conference in Jacksonville last month, I sat down for this interview with their dynamic team to answer a few questions regarding my "Imagine the Possible" story.

We loved hanging out backstage at Broadway's "Cinderella" with our friend and "Wicked Stepmother" Fran Drescher, cancer survivor and founder of Cancer Schmancer, talking about Daisy Wheels, education, and health activism!
That's GIT Operations Coordinator Kristina Cappetta with me and Fran along with Los Angeles Pretty In Pink co-chair Angelique L'Amour and her darling daughter Sarah.

Mary Nilan, Get In Touch founding board member as well as my daughter,
was interviewed by The University of Virginia's Iris Magazine recently and talked about her work with Get In Touch and co-chairing the Charlottesville Pretty In Pink Brunch & Woman of Strength Awards two years in a row.
I am super proud and you can click here to read this terrific interview!

The Get In Touch Foundation is VERY excited about our brand new relationship with Big Sky Yoga Retreats in Bozeman, Montana and most specifically their Cowgirl vs. Cancer Yoga Retreat. Get In Touch is honored to be part of this rejuvenating retreat for 8 very special cancer kickin' cowgirls, and you can click here to learn more about them.
Since I consider myself a yoga-lovin' cancer kickin' cowgirl, I was thrilled when Big Sky Yoga invited me to write a blog post for them, and you can read that right here.
Yeehaw & Namaste!

I am proud to be a Pink Power Mom since 2010 and even more delighted that The Get In Touch Foundation has directly benefitted from the generosity of this wonderful program.
Do you know an amazing mom and breast cancer survivor with an inspiring story? You can nominate her or she can even nominate herself! She'll receive a $5,000 donation to the breast health/breast cancer charity of her choice, plus some very special gifts just for her! Click here to learn more.
