Spring has officially sprung and after the long cold winter we had here in New England, I for one cannot help but giggle right alongside Mother Earth when I see the daffodils, tulips and cherry blossoms bursting into fits of laughter!
We've been so busy at Get In Touch that we decided to combine our March and April Newsletter, which is chock full of pictures and links we hope you take a few minutes to check out.
Our 1st Los Angeles Pretty In PInk Luncheon & Women of Strength Awards was wildly successful thanks to our friend Rob Lowe, who was a most gracious and incredibly charming host!
Please be sure to visit our website to see our complete photo album and all the celebrities that joined us on the "Pink Carpet!"
We've got even more to share in our May Newsletter, so be sure to stay tuned...

That's our Daisy Wheel with Dr. Kristi Funk on the set of The Hallmark Channel's Home & Family show with Cristina Ferrare and Mark Steines! The segment aired on March 12. The Get In Touch Foundation honored Dr. Funk as one of our 2014 Women of Strength at its first annual Pretty in Pink Luncheon in Los Angeles. More on that event below!

Our 1st Los Angeles Pretty In Pink Luncheon &
Women of Strength Awards, was held on March 16th
at the magnificent Casa del Mar on the beach in Santa Monica.
We are so grateful to all who contributed to the success of this powerful
day of inspiration and celebration.
Thank you to the inimitable Rob Lowe for sharing his very personal and moving stories of the "women of strength" in his life who continue to inspire him.
We are grateful to our 2014 Women of Strength Honorees,
Dr. Nalini Chilkov and Dr. Kristi Funk, both committed to saving lives
and showing us how to replace fear with hope.
Deep gratitude to our Los Angeles Pretty In Pink co-chairs,
previvor Jennifer Nicholson Salke, and survivor Angelique L'Amour Pitney,
superheroes and mothers passionate about educating a generation of girls -
our daughters - to become healthy, strong and empowered women.
Grateful always to our guests, whose support makes it possible for us to continue our work... and as long as women continue to be diagnosed with breast cancer,
our work is far from over.

Virginia is Pretty In Pink
University of Virginia Professor Janet S. Herman was honored as The Get In Touch Foundation's Woman of Strength at our 2nd Annual Charlottesville Pretty In Pink Brunch on March 23rd.
Professor Herman wowed our guests, many of them UVA students, all of them inspired by her story of optimism and strength.
Get In Touch founding board member Mary Nilan, UVA Class of 2014, was the Healing Team speaker that afternoon and was cheered on by her teammates on the UVA Women's Rowing Team. (pictured here)
The University of Virginia's Iris Magazine featured an interview with Mary, which can be seen here.
