Greetings! Who says things slow down in the summer?!
We've been BUSY!!
We launched our "re-vamped" GIT website last month, so be sure to check it out and share it with all your friends!
We attended, presented, and even tweeted for the 45th Annual National Association of School Nurses conference in Orlando and got to meet a few "celebs" while we were there, including Daisy Duck, as well as Baltimore's own Debbie Phelps, educator and supermom-extraordinaire of Olympic Gold Medalist, swimmer Michael Phelps.
It may be summer vacation for students, but here at Get In Touch, we are strategizing on how to place even more Daisy Wheels into the hands of girls all over the world.
We are working hard but also celebrating the fact that we have already placed nearly 400,000 Daisy Wheels into the hands of girls all over the world since we launched our program on September 1, 2009!
We are well on our way to educating ONE MILLION GIRLS with our Daisy Wheels by the end of 2015!
Thank you for joining us in our rewarding pursuit to
educate and empower girls around the globe!
Hope Lives!

Spotlight on National Association of School Nurse conference...
The 45th Annual National Association of School Nurses conference took place in Orlando last month, and I was delighted to have been invited back again this year to be a presenter. Here are some photos from our fabulous week together...

|
After the week-long NASN conference was over, I headed into Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom for an evening of fun (in the rain!) and happened to see this lovely student from Daviess County High School in Kentucky wearing her
"GIT Your Pink On!" Day shirt!
After meeting her, I ran into Daisy Duck who loved our Daisy Wheel so much
she autographed one for us! Ahh, the "magic of Disney!"

"ROCK ON" girls make generous donation to GIT!
We received a generous gift of $350 from the ROCK ON girls of Milford, Connecticut, proceeds from their "rock-painting-business" which they set up at a local fair last month to raise funds for Get In Touch!
If you'd like to read more about Soledad and Isabella Meade, these
9 and 11-year old sisters and philanthropic entrepreneurs, please click here.
Here we are with Downtown Milford Business Association President Paul Mangels...our entire town is proud of these two remarkable girls!

We bumped into Miss Connecticut last month...
Miss Connecticut 2012, Emily Audibert, was all smiles when we gave her a Daisy Wheel and chatted with her about the importance of BSE and the mission of Get In Touch!

"Pretty In Pink"
Did you know that Pretty In Pink events across the country are significant fundraisers for GIT? We'd love to grow the list of cities who've hosted PIPs for us. They don't need to become annual events, or even be huge productions...just gather a group, honor a Woman of Strength (a breast cancer survivor who'd like to share her story and inspire others) and invite a member of a woman's "healing team" to share their story, too.
Next up: Cape Cod, MA in September and Milford, CT in October!
If you're interested in hosting a Pretty In Pink event for Get In Touch,

Have You Downloaded Our App Yet?
We are over the moon about the Daisy Wheel© App, which has now been downloaded in 79 countries! If you're an iPad, iPod Touch or iPhone user, go to the iTunes App Store and download it for free. If you love it as much as we do, we'd be grateful if you'd help us spread the word by telling your friends and writing a review, too. It's making our mission to "change the world one girl at a time" a global reality!
