Look At All The Lonely Puppers!
Where do they all belong?
We'd like to think some belong at DRTB, but WE NEED FOSTERS. It is so sad when there a dogs we could help locally, but have no place for them to go. Kenneling, at this time, is not an option. At least we were able to take in CANE & DOTTIE this month. Sadly Dottie wasn't with us long, she had multiple health issues that were causing her to suffer so she was released with love. This leaves us with 13 care-for-life dogs. The good news is LUNA, LINUS, PATTI, & CAMERON (LEWIS) were all adopted. We'd like to help even more.
2014's totals, with 14 dogs carrying over from 2013, brings our adoption count to 10 dogs into loving homes. Our current responsibility has us now caring for 19 Dals & dogs... ANY or ALL could use SPONSORS! Your help is very much needed, especially getting these dogs noticed at events or shared on social media.
Our Dals & dogs, in various stages of readiness, seeking their forever homes are:
We list all our adoptable dogs on www.Petfinder.com. PLEASE let us know if you can help these dogs with a loving home or getting them to events so that they might get adopted!

DRTB Alumni Dal Timmie
Class of 2003
TIMMIE was found as a stray in Tampa. He had a horrible case of demodex mange. The poor little guy was placed in Pen #286 and shortly thereafter contracted kennel cough from being in such a stressful environment. After pulling him and getting him all fixed up, we went on the search for the perfect home.
On August 24, 2003 (right after we officially founded DRTB) we found the perfect place for TIMMIE. I still remember taking him to a very nice couple in Brandon and spending time getting them acquainted with their new potential family member.
We recently received an email from Darren, TIMMIE's Dad:
"These are pictures of Timmie. We rescued him from you guys when he was 1 1/2 and now he is 12! I just wanted to say thank you, he is the best dog ever. That middle one is him hiding in my closet from the storm... haha. You can see his thunder-jacket in the picture!"
Truly a rags to riches story. Nothing makes us feel better in rescue than knowing we have definitely improved the lives of these precious souls. So if you have a DRTB Alumni Dal, we'd love to have your share your story.
