II Corinthians 12:9
And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness.
It is hard for us to grasp and live with the truth that God's grace is all we need. We usually try to do everything within our power to correct a wrong, cure an illness, right an injustice, or overcome an obstacle. We trust more upon our own strength to get us through than we do in accepting that God's strength is perfect in our weakness.
Grace gives us God's strength to make it, no matter what. No matter if our Christian brother turns against us, no matter if the wall before us is impossible to climb, no matter if we fail at something over and over. God's amazing grace is there to make things right, to comfort and to heal us in our sickness, to restore hope and to encourage us when our will is weak. His Grace is never used up, it is available 24/7 if we just accept it.
How do you make God's grace a reality in your life? Tell Him your need. Abandon your own efforts and trust Him to work things out. Be sensitive to see and hear the leading of His Spirit. Claim the promises He gives through His word.
His Grace saves us. Ephesians 2:8-9 (NLT) God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
His Grace provides for all our needs. Philippians 4:19 (NRS) - And my God will fully satisfy every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
His Grace sustains us. 2 Corinthians 4:16 (GNT) For this reason we never become discouraged. Even though our physical being is gradually decaying, yet our spiritual being is renewed day after day.
His Grace hears our cries and carries our grief. Isaiah 53:4 (NASB) Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Psalm 145:18 (NASB) The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.
His Grace guides us. Psalm 18:28 (NIV) I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
His Grace never leaves us. Exodus 33:14 (NLT) The LORD replied, "I will personally go with you, Moses, and I will give you rest--everything will be fine for you."
God's Grace has been provided to us at too great a cost for us to ignore. When we continue to struggle, attempting to use our own strength, we fail to understand that the battle is over. God has provided the solution that meets every need through G-R-A-C-E, God's Riches At Christ's Expense.
