Dear ,

"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come." 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NASB)

Spring has sprung, and new life is emerging all around us. Each sunrise is greeted with a joyful symphony from an orchestra of song birds, newborn animals are frolicking in the pastures and meadows of neighborhood farms, and the hills are turning a verdant green in response to the warmth of the sun. Creation is being renewed before our eyes! What an awesome God we have who is able to hang the stars in space, to raise the sun each day and set it each evening, and to renew the face of His earth each Spring.

This same God is also faithful to renew each of us if we'll allow him to do so.   2 Corinthians, chapter 5 continues.. "The old life is gone; a new life burgeons! Look at it! All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other. God put the world square with himself through the Messiah, giving the world a fresh start by offering forgiveness of sins. God has given us the task of telling everyone what he is doing. We're Christ's representatives."

So, how do we welcome Spring into our Spirit? We welcome the renewing power of God by celebrating our salvation every day, singing songs of praise, and welcoming the Holy Spirit to direct our thoughts and deeds. We look to learn something new about God each day by reading His word and reflecting on how it applies to our lives. We ask for His guidance to renew us in the image of our Savior, Jesus, and reflect His image to everyone we encounter.

Winter is over! Spring is here!   Allow yourself to be renewed and re-created in the image of Christ, just as He is renewing His beautiful creation all around us.

Blessings,
Steve <><

Restoring All Things
Restoring All Things

It's easy to get discouraged by the headlines. It can often feel as if God has left the building, like we are on our own. We want to believe God's promises to us, and we search for signs of his continuing restoration of the world in which we live.

Now, with passion and heart, two leading experts on Christianity and culture cut through the chaos and uncertainty to show readers how God is powerfully active and intensely engaged in fulfilling his promise to restore all things unto himself. Through inspiring real-life stories of justice, mercy, love, and forgiveness in our midst, Smith and Stonestreet present a God who is intimately involved in his creation and using his church to work out the redemption of this world.

Who You Think You Are is Not as Important as Who God Says You Are

Many of us wrestle with the gap between our weaknesses and our dreams, between who we are and who God says we are meant to be. We feel unqualified to do God s work or to live out the calling we imagine. But God has a way of using our weaknesses for good. In fact, God loves unqualified people.

In"(Un)Qualified, "Pastor Steven Furtick helps you peel back the assumptions you ve made about yourself and see yourself as God sees you. Because true peace and confidence come not from worldly perfection but from acceptance: God s acceptance of you, your acceptance of yourself, and your acceptance of God s process of change.

This is a book about understanding your identity in light of who God is. It s a book about coming to terms with the good, the bad, and the unmentionable in your life and learning to let God use you. It s about charging into the gap between your present and your hopes and meeting God there. After all, God can t bless who you pretend to be. But he longs to bless who you really are; a flawed and broken person. Good thing for us that God is in the business of using broken people to do big things.

A Powerful Call to Restore Your Soul Through Prayer.

When an excruciating bout of depression led Dr. Mark Rutland to more deeply explore prayer, he came to understand its miraculous power for soul restoration.

Prayer is a declaration of our Father's compassion toward us, a confession of our own inadequacy, and a reminder that he meets our daily needs.

As it turns out, these are the elements of prayer Jesus taught his disciples. Praying and meditating on the Lord's Prayer changed Dr. Rutland's life, and since then he has used it to restore others' souls as well.

Filled with moving stories and powerful insights, this book will help you discover the truth about God's love and power, and this truth will bless and heal you. In the end, it's not just about saying the Lord's Prayer--it's about getting to know the Lord of the prayer.

When Jesus Wept
$5.00 In-Store Only
Our Price $5.00
Lazarus occupies a surprising position in the Gospel accounts. Widely known as the man Jesus raised from the dead, his story is actually much broader and richer than that. Living as he did at Bethany, near Jerusalem, Lazarus was uniquely placed to witness the swirl of events around Jesus.

When Jesus Wept, the first novel in The Jerusalem Chronicles series by bestselling authors Bodie and Brock Thoene, unfolds the turbulent times in Judea during Jesus' ministry, centering on the friendship between Jesus and Lazarus. With rich insights from vineyard owners and vine dressers, the Thoenes explore the metaphor of Jesus as the True Vine, harvesting the ancient secrets found in the Old Testament. Weaving the life of Lazarus, who owned a vineyard, into the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ will help you understand it is the hand of Love Divine that holds the knife, that cuts and breaks with such tender and loving touch, and that we who have born some fruit, after the pruning, can bear much more.

I am a Church Member

Best-selling author and ministry leader Thom S. Rainer drew an exceptional response when he posted a 500-word declaration about church membership to his daily blog. "I Am a Church Member" started a conversation about the attitudes and responsibilities of church members -- rather than the functional and theological issues -- that previous new member primers all but ignored.
Thoughtfully expanded to book form, I Am a Church Member begins to remedy the outbreak of inactive or barely committed church members, addressing without apology what is expected of those who join a body of believers. When a person's attitude is consistently biblical and healthy, matters of giving, serving, and so forth will fall into place more naturally.

Six intentional chapters with study questions guide this rising discussion:
1. I Will Be a Unifying Church Member
2. I Will Not Let the Church Be About My Preferences and Desires
3. I Will Pray for My Church Leaders
4. I Will Lead My Family to Be Healthy Church Members
5. I Will Be a Functioning Member
6. I Will Treasure Church Membership as a Gift

Autopsy of a Deceased Church
$5.00 In Store
No one wants to see a church die. And yet, far too many churches are dying. For more than twenty-five years, Dr. Thom Rainer has helped churches grow, reverse the trends of decline, and has autopsied those that have died. From this experience, he has discovered twelve consistent themes among those churches that have died. Yet, it's not gloom and doom because from those twelve themes, lessons on how to keep your church alive have emerged.

Whether your church is vibrant or dying, whether you are a pastor or a church member, "Autopsy of a Deceased Church" will walk you through the radical paths necessary to keep your church alive to the glory of God and advancement of Christ's Kingdom

Some Parting Fun...
God is talking to one of his angels. He says, "Do you know what I have just done? I have just created a 24 hour period of alternating light and darkness on Earth. Isn't that good?"

The angel says, "Yes, that's great!, but what will you do now?"

God says, "I think I will call it a day."
