Dear ,

"It was You who set all the boundaries of the earth; You made both the summer and winter." Psalm 74:17 (NIV)

Are you getting tired of the dreary, wet weather? Are the cold temperatures causing you to dread going outside? Does the desire for warmer temperatures and longer daylight just make you tired and plain wear you out?

It's easy to become discouraged this time of year when the world outside is cold and colorless, often wet and just all around drab. But in the midst of the season it's important that we remember that the changing of the seasons is just another of God's faithfulness exhibited in nature.   He is the one that set the stars in space and set the boundaries of the earth.   Rather than becoming discouraged we should rejoice in the fact that we can count on Him.

Take some time this week to think about and note the things about winter that are actually nice to experience. For example; this time of year is great because you can see details in the landscape that are hidden during spring, summer and fall. Or, if you are blessed to have a fireplace what a joy it is to be able to light a fire and enjoy the beauty and warmth that it provides.   It's also a very good time of the year to spend time reading and relaxing, or for making plans for the upcoming spring and summer.

Enjoy the winter season and give thanks to God for His faithfulness and Love.

Blessings,
Steve <><

What Your Heart Needs for the Hard Days
What Your Heart Needs
In Store and Online
We all have days that make us want to pull the covers back over our heads and eat a dozen cupcakes.

Thankfully, Jesus said we don't "live on bread alone"--that includes cupcakes--"but on every word that comes from the mouth of God" (Matt. 4:4). What we really need is truth.

If you're tired, discouraged, or feel a little empty inside, my prayer is that by the end of our time together, you'll be refreshed and nourished in a way that will sustain you through whatever the future may hold.

Remember, you're not alone, my friend.

In this uplifting book, Holley Gerth invites you to be filled with the strength, peace, and joy that come from God's promises. Each of the 52 devotions based on the Psalms will help you remember that God is good and we're all in this together.

Get Out of that Pit
** 5.00 In-Store Only
Our Price $5.00
From her first breath of fresh air beyond the pit, it has never been enough for Beth Moore to be free. This best-selling author and Bible teacher who has opened the riches of Scripture to millions longs for you to be free as well-to know the Love and Presence that are better than life and the power of God's Word that defies all darkness.

Beth's journey out of the pit has been heart-rending. But from this and the poetic expressions of Psalm 40 has come the reward: a new song for her soul, given by her Saviour and offered to you in "Get Out of That Pit" - friend to friend.

This is Beth's most stirring message yet of the sheer hope, utter deliverance, and complete and glorious freedom of God:
"I waited patiently for the Lord"
"He turned to me and heard my cry"
"He lifted me out of the slimy pit"
"He set my feet on a rock"
"He put a new song in my mouth"
It is a story, a song - a salvation - that you can know, too.

Love Arrives in Pieces
** 5.00 In-Store Only
For so long, Stella was known for her beauty. Now, with her heart stripped bare, she must discover who she really is.

Former pageant queen Stella Varland doesn t trust beauty anymore after her divorce. Her appearance betrayed her and led to her brokenness so instead of being beautiful, now she tries to make beautiful things, but always falls short. So she keeps her passion for her secret art to herself and focuses on her interior design work. But if she doesn t get another job soon, she ll be stuck living with her parents.

Contractor Chase Taylor is determined to live a life of no regrets after losing his fiancee in a car crash. Now he lives life at full speed, striving to see how much he can accomplish. He knows if he slows down, he ll fall apart. So he returns home to Bayou Bend to renovate the town s old theater, and is shocked to learn former flame Stella is the designer for the project.

Forced to work together, Chase and Stella battle their chemistry and their pasts as they struggle to compromise and come together on a vision for the theater. Chase doesn t understand why Stella is such a subdued version of herself, while Stella doesn t get Chase s constant need for productivity and speed. Their wills clash as they attempt to hide their brokenness and their unresolved feelings for each other until Chase breaks through Stella s walls and convinces her to enter her mosaic tile art in a contest.

A near catastrophe, a fire, and a small-town gossip mill finally force both Stella and Chase to realize that they have a choice to hold on to the shards of their pasts, or surrender their fragmented pieces to the One who makes a beautiful masterpiece from the broken. "

The Amish Artisan Village in Middlebury, Indiana, has been decorated with every color of balloon and flower for the Race for a Cure. As manager of the Village, Amber Bowman is thrilled to see the turnout and relieved to have something to distract her from the Poison Poet, an individual who has been sending notes containing bad poetry to warn of poisoned baked goods.

Then Ryan Duvall crosses the finish line of the race and falls down dead, murdered in broad daylight. But who did it? And why? The police suspect Preston Johnston, but Amber refuses to believe her employee could do such a thing. Amber once again looks to her young Amish friend Hannah Troyer to help her find the killer and to determine if it s the same person leaving the cryptic poems and pies. Can they help the police before the Poison Poet strikes again? Some Parting Fun...
Don't knock the weather. If it didn't change once in a while, nine tenths of the people couldn't start a conversation.
....
As we waited for a bus in the frosty weather, the woman next to me mentioned that she makes a lot of mistakes when texting in the cold.
I nodded knowingly. "It's the early signs of typothermia."
