Dear ,
This morning, Marie and Cheryl are waking up in sunny (hot and humid) Orlando, Florida. They left yesterday to attend the annual Logos Association meeting, followed by the International Christian Retail Show, where authors, publishers, musicians, producers and retailers meet together for worship, prayer, encouragement and training. The 2015 International Christian Retail Show theme "Expect" speaks to faith and anticipation of fulfilling our ministry calling through the distribution of Christian thought, ideas, and resources that transform lives.
While at the show, Marie and Cheryl will attend courses designed to help them enhance the service Logos provides to the Churches, People, and communities of Northern Kentucky. They will also have the opportunity to meet with many authors and musicians to hear about their work, getting to know them better so that we can share more background on the books and music we provide. As they walk the 'miles of aisles' at the convention center, they are sure to find new and exciting items they will order for the store, and get ideas that will help them be better prepared for the year ahead.
Having representatives from Logos attend the International Christian Retail Show puts a bit of a burden on everyone, but we know that it is the right thing to do in order to be better equipped to serve our customers. The information gathered, the new and exciting products found, the relationships formed between fellow retailers, Christian authors, publishers, and many others all combine to give Logos the tools necessary to best meet your Christian resource needs.
While Marie and Cheryl are away, please keep them and the staff at the store in your prayers. The other Logos representatives, Sunshine, Janet, Janie, and Marissa, are here every day to meet your needs and will each be putting in some longer hours. Take a few minutes one day this week to stop by and give them some encouragement, I'm sure it will be much appreciated, and help them carry on with enthusiasm and joy.
Blessings,
Steve <><

The Case for Grace |
The Case for a Creator explored the scientific evidence for God; The Case for Christ investigated the historical evidence for Jesus; The Case for Faith responded to eight major objections about Christianity; The Case for The Real Jesus refuted the current challenges to the Bible and Christ ... Now, in The Case for Grace, Lee Strobel crafts a compelling and highly personal experiential case for God, focusing on God's transforming work in the lives of men and women today.
Writing with unusual candor, Lee draws upon his own journey from atheism to Christianity to explore the depth and breadth of God's redeeming love for spiritually wayward people.
He travels thousands of miles to capture the inspiring stories of everyday people whose values have been radically changed and who have discovered the 'how' and 'why' behind God's amazing grace. You'll encounter racists, addicts, and even murderers who have found new hope and purpose. You'll meet once-bitter people who have received God's power to forgive those who have harmed them---and, equally amazing, people mired in guilt who have discovered that they can even forgive themselves.
Through it all, you will be encouraged as you see how God's grace can revolutionize your eternity and relationships... starting today.

Killing Lions |
John Eldredge offers an inside look into the conversations between father and son, answering questions and sharing lessons about love, money, work, God, and life.
Who came up with the notion that the day you graduate from college you are a fully developed adult stepping into a wonderful and fully developed life? It's madness. Life just doesn't follow a clean, clear linear path. More important, people don't. "Killing Lions" is an exploration, by father and son, of the questions young men face coming into manhood--questions that continue to haunt many men well into middle age.
Whatever else might be going on in his life, every young man is in the workshop of God, in the training of becoming a man. This is his Great Mission, the deeper stream, the far more important work than career. He has a few lions to kill before he will know he has become a man and that God can entrust him with dreams coming true.
In the summer of 2012, Samuel Eldredge was one year out of college and about to ask a girl to marry him. He turned to his dad for counsel, and what unfolded over several months was a series of conversations about love, money, work, God, and life that became the passion for "Killing Lions." In the middle of those conversations, John asked Sam, "How many of your peers have anyone they can ask these questions?" Sam answered, "I don't know any. No one."
"Killing Lions" is the dialog between a young man trying to find his life's direction and an older man offering wisdom and insight on the timeless issues of the journey toward adulthood. Every man, young or not, can benefit from the life lessons John Eldredge has passed on to his son.

UNDAUNTED
In Undaunted, Christine Caine uses her dramatic life story to show how God rescued her from a life where she was unnamed, unwanted, and unqualified. She tells how she overcame abuse, abandonment, fears, and other challenges to go on a mission of adventure, fueled by faith and filled with love and courage.
Her personal stories inspire readers to hear their name called, just as Christine heard her own---'You are beloved. You are the hope. You are chosen'---to go into a dark and troubled world, knowing each of us possess all it takes to bring hope, create change, and live completely for Christ.
Part inspirational tale, part manifesto to stir readers to lives of adventure, Undaunted shows the way with spiritual wisdom and insight.

America the Beautiful What is America becoming? Or, more importantly, what can she be if we reclaim a vision for the things that made her great in the first place? In America the Beautiful, Dr. Ben Carson helps us learn from our past in order to chart a better course for our future. From his personal ascent from inner-city poverty to international medical and humanitarian acclaim, Carson shares experiential insights that help us understand ... what is good about America ... where we have gone astray ... which fundamental beliefs have guided America from her founding into preeminence among nations Written by a man who has experienced America's best and worst firsthand, America the Beautiful is at once alarming, convicting, and inspiring. You'll gain new perspectives on our nation's origins, our Judeo-Christian heritage, our educational system, capitalism versus socialism, our moral fabric, healthcare, and much more. An incisive manifesto of the values that shaped America's past and must shape her future, America the Beautiful calls us all to use our God-given talents to improve our lives, our communities, our nation, and our world. Read a Chapter The Christianatheist "The more I looked, the more I found Christian Atheists everywhere." Former Christian Atheist Craig Groeschel knows his subject all too well. After over a decade of successful ministry, he had to make a painful self admission: although he believed in God, he was leading his church like God didn't exist. To Christians and non-Christians alike, to the churched and the unchurched, the journey leading up to Groeschel's admission and the journey that follows---from his family and his upbringing to the lackluster and even diametrically opposed expressions of faith he encountered---will look and sound like the story of their own lives. Now the founding and senior pastor of the multicampus, pace-setting LiveChurch.tv, Groeschel personal journey toward a more authentic God-honoring life is more relevant than ever. Christians and Christian Atheists everywhere will be nodding their heads as they are challenged to take their own honest moment and ask the question: am I putting my whole faith in God but still living as if everything was up to me?

Some Parting Fun... |
Email Goes Astray
Mr Arnold, a businessman from Tulsa, Oklahoma, went on a business trip to Amarillo, Texas. Upon his arrival, he immediately sent an e-mail back home to his wife, Paula.
Unfortunately, he forgot his wife's exact e-mail address and the e-mail ended up going to a Mrs. P. Arnold in Rapid City, South Dakota, the wife of a preacher who had just died.
The preacher's wife, Penny, took one look at the e-mail and promptly fainted.
When she was finally revived by her daughter, Penny hysterically pointed to the message, which read,
'Arrived safely, but it sure is hot down here.'
