Dear ,

He is RISEN!

That same day two of them were walking to the village Emmaus, about seven miles out of Jerusalem. They were deep in conversation, going over all these things that had happened. In the middle of their talk and questions, Jesus came up and walked along with them. But they were not able to recognize who he was.

He asked, "What's this you're discussing so intently as you walk along?"

They just stood there, long-faced, like they had lost their best friend. Then one of them, his name was Cleopas, said, "Are you the only one in Jerusalem who hasn't heard what's happened during the last few days?"

He said, "What has happened?"

They said, "The things that happened to Jesus the Nazarene. He was a man of God, a prophet, dynamic in work and word, blessed by both God and all the people. Then our high priests and leaders betrayed him, got him sentenced to death, and crucified him. And we had our hopes up that he was the One, the One about to deliver Israel. And it is now the third day since it happened. But now some of our women have completely confused us. Early this morning they were at the tomb and couldn't find his body. They came back with the story that they had seen a vision of angels who said he was alive. Some of our friends went off to the tomb to check and found it empty just as the women said, but they didn't see Jesus."

Then he said to them, "So thick-headed! So slow-hearted! Why can't you simply believe all that the prophets said? Don't you see that these things had to happen, that the Messiah had to suffer and only then enter into his glory?" Then he started at the beginning, with the Books of Moses, and went on through all the Prophets, pointing out everything in the Scriptures that referred to him. Luke 24:13-27 (MSG)

Can you sense the discouragement of Cleopas and his traveling companion? Perhaps you've felt that way at times. It's easy to look at everything going on in the world and become discouraged. It seems that every day our Christian beliefs come under attack from one group or another; Jesus is banned from the public square, and we are prevented from expressing our Christian faith openly while any other group seems encouraged to practice whatever.

Whenever it seems hopeless be encouraged that Jesus is still walking beside us, just as He walked with Cleopas and his friend years ago. Listen for His voice as He tells you everything the Scriptures have to say about Him. Let your heart burn within as you recognize that no matter the situation within our culture, country, or world, that Jesus is Risen and in control.

He is RISEN; Alleluia!

Blessings

Four Blood Moons
Four Blood Moons
In Store or On Line

Full lunar eclipses are called blood moons and get their name because only the infrared band of light gets around the earth and bounces off the moon making it appear red. Throughout history, seven back-to-back, blood-red moons have fallen on the first day of Passover. Three of these occurrences were connected to some of the most significant days in Jewish history.

Inspired by NASA projections and recorded history, Pastor John Hagee shows direct connections between four blood-moon eclipses and major world events. Further, he reveals the significance of the four upcoming blood moons and what they portend for Israel and all of humankind.

Behind every victory and every defeat, behind every blessing and every disappointment, spiritual forces are at work. In Unseen, Dr. Jack Graham challenges popular opinions and persistent folklore with powerful biblical truth about heaven and hell, good and evil, and angels and demons, and he teaches us how to navigate this present world in light of the forces we cannot see.

Dr. Graham begins by recounting his own experience with evil when his father was brutally murdered. From there he weaves compelling stories with easy-to-understand teaching, giving readers practical, in-depth guidance on the spiritual realm.

Readers will come away enlightened about the supernatural world and encouraged that God can provide protection, provision, and power for whatever lies ahead.

As it is in Heaven
As it is in Heaven

Our lives here are so often cluttered with the "cares of this world" that we fail to consider heavenly priorities and how they should be reflected in our earthly ones.

At the beginning of Jesus' most famous prayer, He teaches us to pray that God's will "be done on earth as it is in heaven." What heaven is up to is critical for us to understand if we're going to live biblically. Pastor Greg Laurie explains that heaven is anything but a long, boring church service.

People in heaven know about the time and place of ongoing events on earth. They are rational and recall everything from their earthly days, but most importantly for us, they have a unique perspective from which we can learn a great deal. In this rich and relevant study, Greg sheds scriptural light on the sensational books and stories about people going to heaven and coming back, answers the nagging questions we are all dying to ask, and guides us to focus--right now--on what really matters.

Some Parting Fun...

A Minister was walking down the street when he came upon a group of about a dozen boys, all of them between 10 and 12 years of age.

The group had surrounded a dog. Concerned lest the boys were hurting the dog, he went over and asked "What are you doing with that dog?"

One of the boys replied, "This dog is just an old neighborhood stray. We all want him, but only one of us can take him home. So we've decided that whichever one of us can tell the biggest lie will get to keep the dog."

Of course, the reverend was taken aback. "You boys shouldn't be having a contest telling lies!" he exclaimed. He then launched into a ten minute sermon against lying, beginning, "Don't you boys know it's a sin to lie," and ending with, "Why, when I was your age, Inever told a lie."

There was dead silence for about a minute.  Just as the reverend was beginning to think he'd gotten through to them, the smallest boy gave a deep sigh and said, "All right, give the reverend the dog."
