Isaiah 1:18
"Come now, and let us reason together," says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool."
Very likely, when you look outside your window today, you will see a landscape covered with snow. Have you ever thought about the way snow covers everything, even ugly stuff, making everything beautiful?
The Lord tells us that if we come to Him in confession, in repentance, He will take the ugly sins that we have in our life and wash them away, and make us as pure and as white as that fallen snow. What a beautiful picture of God's forgiveness! Though our sins be like scarlet and crimson, God says, "I will get rid of all that. I will take it away and I will wash you white as snow."
Although it is cold, and we may be wishing for warmer temperatures, the snow is a wonderful reminder of what God's forgiveness does with our sin. Even though our sin is a crimson stain; he can forgive us and make us clean, as white as snow. As David prayed in Psalm 51, "purge me with Hyssop, wash me and I will be whiter than snow" I need to come to Him to keep the landscape of my soul clean and bright with the fresh fallen snow of forgiveness.
Blessings

A romantic book from bestselling author Lori Copeland that portrays God's miraculous provision even when none seems possible.
1892--Mae Wilkey's sweet next-door neighbor, Pauline, is suffering from old age and dementia and desperately needs family to come help her. But Pauline can't recall having kin remaining. Mae searches through her desk and finds a name--Tom Curtis, who may just be the answer to their prayers.
Tom can't remember an old aunt named Pauline, but if she thinks he's a long-lost nephew, he very well may be. After two desperate letters from Mae, he decides to pay a visit.
An engagement, a runaway train, and a town of quirky, loveable people make for more of an adventure than Tom is expecting. But it is amazing what can bloom in winter when God is in charge of things.

Forgiveness: Making Peace with the Past
|
 | In Store or On Line |
Forgiveness is a door. It's the way to peace and joy. But it's a small door, and it can't be entered without stooping--or kneeling. And sometimes it is very hard to find.
When we hurt the people we love, how do we go about restoring the relationship?
When we suffer the pain of betrayal or injury or rejection from someone else, how do we deal with the anger and resentment we feel?
In eight studies, Douglas Connelly leads the way to help you discover, understand and practice what the Bible says about forgiveness.
This LifeGuide Bible Study features questions for starting group discussions and for meeting God in personal reflection, together with leader's notes and a "Now or Later" section in each study.

Some Parting Fun....

Harry and Martha drank their coffee as they listened to the morning weather report. "There will be three to five inches of snow today. You must park your cars on the odd-numbered side of the street." Harry got up from his coffee to move the car. Two days later, they sat down with their cup of coffee and listened the weather forecast. "There will be two to four inches of snow today. You must park your cars on the even-numbered side of the street." Harry got up from his coffee to move the car. Three days later, they tuned in to the weather report. "There will be six to eight inches of snow today. You must park your cars on the... ." The power went off. He said to Martha, "What am I going to do now?" Martha said, "Just leave the car in the garage."
