I love being around my grandchildren, and very often their three year old minds will have an ephiphanal moment where they will suddenly realize the meaning of whatever it is we've been discussing.   It's just like in the cartoons where a light bulb will appear above the character's head signifying that they finally get it; the kids eyes will sparkle and their whole demeanor exhibits joy and excitement as they gain understanding.

Webster's defines an ephinay as (1) : a usually sudden manifestation or perception of the essential nature or meaning of something (2) :  an intuitive grasp of reality through something (as an event) usually simple and striking (3) :  an illuminating discovery, realization, or disclosure

As we are putting away Christmas decorations and looking forward to a new year it is important to reflect on Christ's coming to Earth and to dwell on what that means to each of us. As we ponder, maybe we too will have an epiphany - For God so loved the world that he sent his only Son, Jesus Christ, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. As you think about it, personalize it - For God so loved ME that he sent Jesus so that if I would believe in Jesus I would not perish but have eternal life!   WOW!

Have you had times in your life when you actually felt a surge of excitement when a Bible passage jumps off the page at you as a clear answer to prayer?, How about a time when you could physically feel the presence of Christ as a warmth in your heart? Have tears of relief ever fallen from your eyes as you've felt the forgiveness of Jesus?
