Dear ,
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take". ~Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT) How often do you check in with God to see if you are on His plan for your life? We get so busy doing things, even good things, that we forget to check in with God about His plan for our path.
Here are three suggestions to help you seek out God's plan for you.
First, Trust Him to lead you. Let go of what you think you know, and let God do what He knows. Who else are you going to trust ? God knows the beginning to the end. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11(NIV)
Second, Do not try to understand your situations on your own. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:9 (NIV). God thinks higher than we do, so His ideas, visions, foresight and plans are not limited like ours. When we try to understand things on our own, we limit ourselves to our own understanding and thinking about a situation. However, God is not limited, He sees beyond our horizons.
Third, Seek God's will for your life. As Christians our purpose is to strive to be more like Christ. "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33 (KJV). God instructs us to seek Him first; seeking God first leads us to His will for our life. Seeking God's will brings you to the correct destination. When you seek God, He'll make sure you are where you need to be.
We all need to make sure that we are seeking His direction for our lives. It will save a lot of travel down dead end paths, and prevent us from wandering off into the wilderness. Take some time today to check your directions.
"He leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake."
-Psalm 23:3 (NKJV)

Follow Me

What did Jesus really mean when he said, "Follow Me"?
In this book, David Platt, author of the "New York Times" bestselling book, "Radical: Taking Back Your Faith from the American Dream," contends that multitudes of people around the world culturally think they are Christians yet biblically are not followers of Christ. Scores of men, women, and children have been told that becoming a follower of Jesus simply involves believing certain truths or saying certain words. As a result, churches today are filled with people who believe they are Christians . . . but aren't.
We want to be disciples as long as doing so does not intrude on our lifestyles, our preferences, our comforts, and even our religion. Revealing a biblical picture of what it means to truly be a Christian, "Follow Me" explores the gravity of what we must forsake in this world, as well as the indescribable joy and deep satisfaction to be found when we live for Christ.
The call to follow Jesus is not simply an invitation to pray a prayer; it's a summons to lose your life--and to find new life in him. This book will show you what such life actually looks like.

At a time of great uncertainty for so many people, pastor and celebrated writer Rob Morgan offers the timeless solace of one of history's most famous poems-six verses that comprise the most memorized passage in the Bible and that, as Morgan shows, provide a microcosm of God's grace.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want....Appearing in the middle of a trilogy of psalms, the twenty-third is a soul-soother, a powerful tranquilizer when anxiety robs us of sleep. While Psalm 22 reminds us that the Savior's cross takes care of our past failures, and Psalm 24 relates how the Sovereign's Crown ensures a joyful future, Psalm 23 reveals how the Shepherd's crook delivers our present needs.
Morgan teaches the psalm verse by verse, brilliantly illuminating its fascinating context and colorful background, and even shares his own charming, real-life stories of herding sheep. According to Morgan, in knowing the Good Shepherd, we are totally prepared to meet our internal, external, and eternal requirements. What emerges is more than biblical scholarship, offering a journey through simple truths that inspire and buoy the spirit in the most challenging of moments.

Celebration of Discipline

In the twenty years since its publication, Celebration of Discipline has helped over a million seekers discover a richer spiritual life infused with joy, peace, and a deeper understanding of God. For this special twentieth anniversary edition, Richard J. Foster has added an introduction, in which he shares the story of how this beloved and enduring spiritual guidebook came to be.
Hailed by many as the best modern book on Christian spirituality, Celebration of Discipline explores the "classic Disciplines," or central spiritual practices, of the Christian faith. Along the way, Foster shows that it is only by and through these practices that the true path to spiritual growth can be found.
Dividing the Disciplines into three movements of the Spirit, Foster shows how each of these areas contribute to a balanced spiritual life. The inward Disciplines of meditation, prayer, fasting, and study, offer avenues of personal examination and change. The outward Disciplines of simplicity, solitude, submission, and service, help prepare us to make the world a better place. The corporate Disciplines of confession, worship, guidance, and celebration, bring us nearer to one another and to God.
Foster provides a wealth of examples demonstrating how these Disciplines can become part of our daily activities-and how they can help us shed our superficial habits and "bring the abundance of God into our lives." He offers crucial new insights on simplicity, demonstrating how the biblical view of simplicity, properly understood and applied, brings joy and balance to our inward and outward lives and "sets us free to enjoy the provision of God as a gift that can be shared with others." The discussion of celebration, often the most neglected of the Disciplines, shows its critical importance, for it stands at the heart of the way to Christ. Celebration of Discipline will help motivate Christians everywhere to embark on a journey of prayer and spiritual growth.
