 | Dear ,      I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14 (NASB)      June is a month for celebrating graduations! We are proud of our accomplishments, and marking the culmination of years of study is very appropriate. Whether the grades were stellar or less than admirable, the course has been completed, for better or worse, and though we pause to celebrate for a moment we need to realize that bigger challenges and opportunities await.   Too many of us live in the past instead of our present, looking toward the future. None of us can do anything about our mistakes, our failures, our shortcomings, the things we wish we could change in the past. It's just as dangerous to live in our past accomplishments, associating our worth on some achievement or event without ever letting it go, never growing.   It's time to move on, we don't have that much time to linger!   Time's Places When I was a child and laughed and wept - Time crept. When I was a youth I waxed more bold - Time strolled.
When I became a full grown man - Time ran.
When older still I daily grew - Time flew.
Soon I shall find I'm passing on - Time gone.
O Christ! Will thou have saved me then? Amen. - Henry Twells

Whether 18 or 98, God isn't finished with you. There are still more mountains to climb, valleys to cross, victories to win, storms to overcome, and challenges to conquer. God is taking you and me somewhere, regardless of the past.

What are you dealing with today? What keeps you lingering in the past? Allow the Holy Spirit to overshadow you with fresh vision, fresh energy and fresh faith to go places you have never been, to do things that you have never done, to become someone that you have never been.     Blessings,

 | Don't Waste Your Life

John Piper writes, "I will tell you what a tragedy is. I will show you how to waste your life. Consider this story from the February 1998 Reader's Digest: A couple 'took early retirement from their jobs in the Northeast five years ago when he was 59 and she was 51. Now they live in Punta Gorda, Florida, where they cruise on their 30-foot trawler, play softball and collect shells. . . .' Picture them before Christ at the great day of judgment: 'Look, Lord. See my shells.' That is a tragedy . "God created us to live with a single passion to joyfully display his supreme excellence in all the spheres of life. The wasted life is the life without this passion. God calls us to pray and think and dream and plan and work not to be made much of, but to make much of him in every part of our lives."   | | | Don't Waste Your Life - John Piper |
Most people slip by in life without a passion for God, spending their lives on trivial diversions, living for comfort and pleasure, and perhaps trying to avoid sin. This book will warn you not to get caught up in a life that counts for nothing. It will challenge you to live and die boasting in the cross of Christ and making the glory of God your singular passion. If you believe that to live is Christ and to die is gain, read this book, learn to live for Christ, and don't waste your life. |
 | | | Most people don't expect you to understand what we're going to tell you in this book. And even if you understand, they don't expect you to care. And even if you care, they don't expect you to do anything about it. And even if you do something about it, they don't expect it to last. We do. - Alex and Brett| | | In Store or On Line |

 | Some Parting Fun.... | | It was graduation day and mom was trying to take a picture of their son, in cap and gown, posed with his father.
"Let's try to make this look natural", she said, "son, just put your arm around dad's shoulder and smile."   The father answered, "If we want to make this look natural, why not have him put his hand in my pocket?"     |
