Dear ,
The first Mother's Day was celebrated in West Virginia in 1912. Mothers were to be recognized as an important part of our culture and lives,
A familiar mother's day poem written in the early 1900's is:
M is for the Many things she gave me, O means only that she's growing Old. T is for the Tears she shed to save me, H is for her Heart of purest gold. E is for her Eyes with love light shining, R means Right and Right she'll always be.
Put them all together, they spell MOTHER. A word that means the world to me.
God created families and gave mothers a unique place in that unit. Mothers can love, give of themselves, cook, clean, wash clothes, and put Band-Aids on scrapes while kissing the hurt away. They are often the first one up in the morning and the last to sleep at night. They juggle a lot of things including raising children, working at jobs, managing a home, and a hundred other things all at once.
This scripture seems to be written just for mothers.
"If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others." Philippians 2:1-4
Mothers make up a crucial part of our lives. So whether it is a card or gift, dinner out, hug, or a kiss on the cheek, we should show we care. It is so important to give our love to these dedicated women in our lives and not take them for granted.
"Dear children, let's not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions."I John 3:18

Women feel enormous pressure to be perfect. To have the perfect body, to be a perfect woman, to have the perfect career, and to have the perfect attitude. All the time. Under all that pressure and all those expectations are women carrying burdens they were never meant to carry and suppressing the dreams they were always meant to live.
In You're Already Amazing, popular blogger and cofounder of (in)courage helps women understand and embrace the fact that they don't need to do more, be more, and have more--because they're already amazing just the way God created them to be. As a licensed counselor and certified life coach, Holley knows what readers need to hear.
Like a heart-to-heart talk over coffee, reading this joy-filled book encourages women to forget the lies and expectations the world feeds them, instead believing that God made them for a purpose and that he loves them right now, at this moment, and always. Holley takes readers on a journey of the heart to discover their strengths and embrace all God created them to be.

When Carol Floch realized that her marriage was about to end and that she was about to join the ranks of moms left to raise their children on their own, she could not stop crying. She mourned her shattered hopes and grieved the loss of the family she had always dreamed of. But mostly, she cried for her children.
Into Carol's grief, regret and fear, God's Spirit came with a message from Psalm 84: Build your nest near my altar, and I will be your children's source of security, protection, provision and blessing.
In The Single Mom's Devotional, Carol tells her story and shares with the sisterhood of single moms how they can build their family's nest in the protective shadow of God's presence. Single mothers, whether on their own after a divorce or a husband's death, will discover how to find true life in Christ and allow the strength of that inner life to be the compass by which they navigate an unpredictable future.
Near God's altar, the cross of Christ is where single moms will discover life through relinquishment, power through dependence and hope through surrender. Anchored at the foot of the cross, readers will find daily security and hope as they nourish their souls and nurture their children at a place near God's altar.

Armor of God
Download this FREE chart, taken from the Rose, "Armor of God" pamphlet.
This e-chart is an excerpt from our best-selling "Armor of God" pamphlet. This bestselling pamphlet provides historically accurate background of a Roman Centurion's armor then draws vital correlations to the spiritual armor God gives his children: the Belt of Truth, the Breastplate of Righteousness, Feet Prepared with Gospel of Peace, The Shield of Faith, The Helmet of Salvation, and the Sword of the Spirit.
The Apostle Paul knew how important it was for believers to understand the provision of spiritual armor that God made for them. Paul's teaching to the Church at Ephesus was born out of firsthand knowledge of Roman Centurions armor. He saw them up close on many occasions.
The Armor of God pamphlet provides the following information:
- A detailed description of the armor of God
- Historical background on how the armor was put on and its purpose
- The application of the armor to our lives today, such as how the "Belt of Truth" prepares believers to be truthful
- Other biblical passages
- Greek or Latin terms
The pamphlet also presents:
- The passage of Ephesians 6:10-18 verse-by-verse alongside an illustration of a Roman Centurion in full armour
- Background information on Paul, his missionary journey, and life in Ephesus
- A chart that helps believers stand firm in spiritual warfare by contrasting the "Devil's Schemes" with God's plan and the armor or weapon to combat it, and a Scriptural reference. For example: One of the Devil's schemes is LIES. God's plan/armor is Truth. Proverbs 14:25 would be a good reminder of God's plan
Note: You can print it out, share it with friends, reproduce it, laminate it, and use the e-chart for personal or small group use as is - no alterations may be made to the content or repurposed without written consent of Rose Publishing. Some Parting Fun....

One day a little girl was sitting and watching her mother do the dishes at the kitchen sink. She suddenly noticed that her mother had several strands of white hair sticking out in contrast on her brunette head. She looked at her mother and inquisitively asked, "Why are some of your hairs white, Mom?" Her mother replied, "Well, every time that you do something wrong and make me cry or unhappy, one of my hairs turns white." The little girl thought about this revelation for a while and then said, "Momma, how come ALL of grandma's hairs are white?"
