Even though the weatherman may be having problems keeping up, the calendar tells us that SPRING IS HERE!! And with the coming of spring a lot of us turn our thoughts and efforts to spring cleaning. Open up the windows, let the fresh air and sunshine fill our homes. Dust the furniture, wash the windows, deep clean the carpet. So much to do but the effort really pays off when we can relax in a fresh home, free of the winter dirt, clutter and blues. Need some help? Here's a link to a web site that is filled with hints and tips on spring cleaning. But how about our minds? Should we consider a "spring cleaning" there as well? Have we let the doldrums of winter bring discouragement or idleness to our thoughts? Have we become complacent in the effort to keep our minds pure and filled with righteous thoughts? Romans12:2 reminds us, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will." In Philippians 4:8 we are further instructed, "And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise." So, as we work on cleaning our homes this spring, lets also put some effort into spring cleaning our minds. Turn the radio to a good Christian station and listen to uplifting music rather than political talk or rock. Begin a new Bible study and dig into Scripture, filling your mind with God's word. Put aside the "Trilogy" and "30 Shades of Grey" novels and begin reading some really great Christian Fiction. Most importantly, as you take steps to refresh and renew your mind, look to Christ for strength in your effort. You don't have to do it alone. Ask Him to help you do the things that will fill your mind with His ways and His will. "And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns." Philippians 1:6 (NLT)

It doesn't seem like 10 years has gone by since Logos Christian Bookstore opened for business in Alexandria, KY. In the years since that April 4th, 2003 opening day we have met many new friends, and grown closer to our Lord while serving Him through Christian retail. Because of your purchases, your confidence and your referrals, Logos is able, and blessed, to provide products, service and ministry to the people of Northern Kentucky and beyond.
Over the first decade, many visitors to the store have not only found the products they may have been looking for, but have also experienced the Grace of God in ways they may not have been expecting. We have seen those searching find a saving relationship with Christ, we have seen those hurting find comfort, we have seen the downhearted find Joy, and we have seen fellow servants find help and resources to assist in bringing Good News to their circle of influence. This is beyond our understanding as we continue to serve, humbly doing our best, knowing that God provides that which we cannot.
