VOLUNTEER FOX VALLEY
GOES LIVE!
We are so excited about the February 20 launch of Volunteer Fox Valley!

Working together with Aurora University, we've created a cutting-edge, web-based virtual volunteer resource center that we believe will significantly increase volunteerism in Kane and Kendall counties.

At www.volunteerfoxvalley.org, community members, students and businesses can find the perfect match for their talents and passion.  Social service organizations now have an easier way to attract volunteers, donors and advocates.  Businesses can easily track their employees' volunteer efforts.  It's a win-win-win for our community!

To date, more than 200 volunteers and 75 social service agencies have created their online profiles to begin working together to advance the common good in the Fox Valley.

Advocate.

Research shows preschool-age years are critical for cognitive and social development, laying a foundation for success in college, work and life.  To effectively reduce the high school dropout rate, we must begin by improving access to quality and affordable child care and early childhood education.

Our Community Makes the Souper Bowl a Success!

Thanks to the folks who shopped at area grocery stores on March 1, our committed volunteers were able to help restock the shelves at the Aurora Interfaith and Kendall County Food Pantries.
This year's Souper Bowl of Caring collected more than 2,273 pounds of food, and with $4,279 in cash donations, the food pantries are able to purchase an additional $34,232 worth of bulk groceries.

A big thank you to all who volunteered or donated as well as
all participating Jewel-Osco stores, Prisco's Fine Foods and Montgomery Market Place.
