90th Anniversary Proclamation
90th Anniversary

At the Aurora City Council meeting on September 11, 2012, Mayor Tom Weisner honored the 90th anniversary of Fox Valley United Way with a special proclamation.

CEO Michael Meyer was on hand to receive the document that in part declared that day as "Fox Valley United Way Day" in Aurora.  Click here to view the proclamation.  As always, our appreciation to Mayor Weisner for supporting our efforts to improve the lives of our Aurora area neighbors in need!

Campaign Highlights
Hallmark Services

We love creative fundraising!  Hallmark Services Corporation launched their United Way campaign recently with a rubber duck raffle.  Employees had the opportunity to purchase a floating rubber duck for $1.00. Each duck had a number on the bottom, which corresponded to the number of raffle tickets they received.  A drawing followed with the winners receiving one of many fabulous prizes.  The campaign team, led by Stephanie Peden-Fox, sold more than 4,000 ducks and raised a total of $4,387 for United Way!  Many thanks to Stephanie and her team and to all the employees who participated for making the raffle such a tremendous success.

CAT Check 2012
CEO Michael Meyer recently accepted a check from the Medium Wheel Loaders Division at Caterpillar's plant in Aurora. The $34,151.20 check represented employee pledges from the 2012 CAT United Way campaign, as well as the proceeds from a special fundraising auction. Our sincere thanks to Karl Weiss and Matt DesVeaux for their leadership and to all the Medium Wheel Loader employees who made the decision to LIVE UNITED in 2012!

Election Day November 6th
Election Day is right around the corner. With a host of candidates on the ballot, voting is an important way you can have a say in policies enacted at the local, state and federal level. Voting is a form of advocacy as well.

United Way does not endorse candidates but we do endorse your participation in the democratic process.
Volunteer.
Do you have a few spare hours during the week?  If you have clerical skills and would like to volunteer, we could really use your help!
