Kendall County Leader Joins

Board of Directors

John ChurchJohn Church, former chairman of the Kendall County Board and an individual with a lifetime's interest in how people interact with natural resources and agriculture, has joined the Board of Directors of Fox Valley United Way.  While on the County Board, he also served for several years as President of the Kendall County Forest Preserve District.

Church's experience in the Kendall County non-profit community "will add significantly to our deliberations and discussions," FVUW Board Chair Gail Bumgarner said in announcing Church's election to the Board.  For example, Church is a past president of the Kendall County United Fund, which became part of what today is Fox Valley United Way in 2004.   Read More...

We Need You To Speak Up!

The Emergency Food & Shelter Program (EFSP) helps stabilize families in times of crisis by providing emergency food, shelter and utility and rent assistance.  This year (FY2011) Congress cut EFSP funding by 40% from $200 million to $120 million.

Congress must act on 2012 funding by December 16th.  Now is the time to advocate for restored funding of the EFSP at $200 million for FY2012.

Please take two minutes to email your federal representatives and ask for support for restoring funds for the EFSP - CLICK HERE to learn more about how you can take action now!
